Please welcome Mr and Mrs Lambert I heard the DJ say as the doors opened, I took Adams hand and walked into the room. Everyone clapped and cheered, I smiled up at Adam. Everyone sat down and the food was served, everyone started eating. Soon after the dessert was served as champagne was poured into everyone's glasses. Adam tapped the glass to get everyone to listen as he started a speech. "Hey guys, I hope you are all having fun. I would like to thank you all for being here today to watch me marry the love of my life." he looked down at me and carried on. "Lola from the first time I met you I knew you were the one for me. After everything we have been through I feel it has made us stronger. You are the love of my life and I want to grow old with you." I smiled and brushed a tear from my cheek, he sat down and kissed me, I have never been this happy.
Tommy made a speech next about how long he had known Adam and all the weird and wonderful times they have had, this had everyone laughing. I got up from my chair, "Where are you going?" Adam enquired. "wait and see nosey" I said winking at him. I walked up onto the stage and took hold of a microphone, "hey guys, I have a little surprise for my sexy husband!" I said addressing the room. The DJ hit play and the music for better than I know myself started playing, I put the microphone to my mouth and sung the song. When I was finished the whole room was silent, then the room erupted with applause. I felt my cheeks flushing red as Adam came to the bottom of the stage and grabbed my waist. He lifted me off the stage and kissed me before pulling me towards him.
Wonder wall by oasis started playing as Adam put his arms around my waist, I placed my hands over his shoulders as we swayed to the music. My eyes never once left his as his blue eyes sparkled and shone, I laughed as he spun me round the dance floor. He was an amazing dancer I felt safe around him he didn't drop me once. After our first dance everyone clapped and joined us, the music started playing and everyone was dancing and mingling. The lights shone around the room everyone was having great fun there was one important person missing though, my granddad he would have love to have seen me get married. It was time like these I really missed him, I wandered outside and lent on the balcony looking up at the stars. There was a single star in the sky that shone brighter than the rest, I knew he was looking down on me. I couldn't help but feel sad as a tear rolled down my cheek and I held onto my locket.
I felt arms around my waist I turned round and saw Adam behind me. "You ok baby? You've been crying?" he said wiping the tear from my cheek. "Yeah kind of, I needed time to think" I said. "Why what's up babe?" Adam asked his eyes full of concern."There's someone important missing tonight.." I said still looking at the star. "Your granddad.." Adam started "he would be proud of you he's still with you in your heart" he finished. "Yeah I know its just I really miss him, I wish he was here to meet you and to see me get married and to meet Paisley.." I said as my eyes filled with tears. "Babe please don't be upset, you will always have him near your heart inside your locket" Adam told me putting his arms around me....
