I hope you guys don't mind this one. I know that it's been overwritten but I decided to give it a try...
Enjoy!

Percy's day was just getting better and better. Not. When he woke up, he was already in a bad mood. Today was the day that Gabe first started beating him.

Even though he was turned to stone (courtesy of Medusa's head) it still gave him shivers at how it felt and his reflection afterwards.

He had looked awful that first time, and he vividly remembered everything. The blood pooling around him, the screaming, and the pain.

The pain was the most vivid thing that Percy remembered from that night. Without realizing it, a few stray tears trailed down his cheek.

A knock sounded on the door, causing Percy to jump slightly. He quickly wiped his tears of of his cheek, and slowly descended towards it.

Upon opening it, he was greeted with the sight of Grover. "P-e-e-ercy! There you are! I was wondering if you wanted to talk for a second?"

Grover ended in a nervous tone. Percy nodded, and opened the door wider to step through. They quickly walked in silence, lost in their separate thoughts on the same topic.

Grover himself was thinking about telling Percy about how their empathy link allowed him to see his past, while Percy was lost in the abusive memories of Gabe.

After a while, Grover finally got up the courage to speak. "Um Percy, you know how uh we have that empathy link?" Grover stumbled through his words, trying to break it to him as best as he could.

The whole time Percy found himself becoming more and more suspicious about what Grover was trying to get across. Percy narrowed his eyes at Grover, then motioned him to go on. He wanted to be with his memories in peace.

"Well, um since we are connected, we see each other's past and um I've kind of seen yours." Grover's voice broke on the last part because Percy was glaring at the sky with hate, and was waiting for it to be turned on him.

Percy was angry. Not at Grover, but at the Fates. They always screwed everything in his life up. He then sighed and turned his gaze on to Grover's now whimpering form.

Percy's eyes softened as he looked at his best friend. It was sad that he was afraid of him, but now he was determined to let Grover know that sharing his past with him was alright with Percy. As long as it was kept a secret of course.

Percy encouraged Grover to continue, now void of emotion. Grover continued with the story of how he had strange flashbacks of seeing a Raven haired child being beaten senseless daily. He also told Percy of how one day it ended with the monster being locked in stone.

Percy was brought to tears at his best friend had to witness his unkind torture, but was happy that at least someone could understand what it was like to be beaten everyday.

Well, sort of. That wasn't the point though, the point was that Percy didn't have to bear as much pain as he used to now. And he was strangely Ok with that.

How was it? I hope that you liked it and more chapter parts will be coming soon!

I also wanted to ask a quick question crowned-king, did this save Grover from the NOT ALLOWED IN FANFICS box?

Ciao!
