Luna

Chapter six ~Sara

I walk slowly down the hall to my drawing room. The room of wonders my sister Lea calls it. The halls of the castle buzzing with noise. I smile letting myself release the stress of the last year. My uncle Ragan seems to think he is King out of no where. He has declared war "bow or die" was his words when we seen him last. My father has been trying to talk my aunt into an alliance with us. All she says is " boy's will be boy's let them fight". Everything changed when the last king of the white land came to our home. Demanding that my sister was going to be his sons bride. My father seen it as a sign from our goddess sealing our to kingdoms with marriage. The all powerful white lands.... anyone who was brave enough to venture there was never herd from again. My uncle would be mad to challenge my father now.

I stand in front of my easel, i touch the paper and close my eyes. See the picture with your heart first. I remember my art instructor telling me paint what you feel not what you see. Look past what you see the beauty is the story behind it. I feel it the warmth spreading threw me i grab my brush and let the heat flow threw me painting what my heart tells me. My hands start to shake i open my eyes.

I'm not in my drawing room i cant feel my body. I don't let the panic set in i focus on what the goddess is showing me. I'm in a grove i hear water in the distance. Walking towards the sound of water i catch a glimpse of a tree spirit right before she disappears into a tree. The sound of water getting louder as I walk threw the trees to a clearing I freeze. Its a water fall in front of me its so beautiful. Water spirits playing in the lake splashing water and giggling. I ease my way over to the water carful not to scare the spirits away. I let my feet dangle in the water and lean back against my elbows. The sun feels good I lie back and close my eyes. Maybe the goddess knew how stressed I was and decided to do something nice for me... "look closer" i hear a whisper on the wind.

I open my eyes to the same place but it couldn't have been more different. The waterfall and the lake are all dried up. The trees look sickly the ground is nothing but dirt no grass. The spirits are no where in sight. What happened? " choose your champion ". I quickly look for the source of the voice. Walking threw the trees i see a shadow fly past me. I body stills i come to my senses slowly getting closer but staying hidden. I come upon a gathering of some kind. I hear footsteps coming closer keeping my eyes on the group there is two wemen and two males. One women has red hair and orange skin that glows. She looks as if she is made of the sun. The other women looks like she could be made of the earth with dark green skin and hair almost the same color. The males are circling each other one growls. One seems to be made up of Shadows. The other one skin is so bright its hard to keep looking at him. So i turn my gaze on the wemon.

"Are you sure luna.... you know he doesn't look up to the challenge ill let you keep your powers if you just give up now no hard feelings. ....." the red  says. Wait luna this must be the past I've never been to the past before. " Aurora look what you've done the spirits are dead. Our children are dead. Our home is dead.... she points to the land around them. " what will you do when there is nothing left you'll be all alone". Luna walks up and takes Aurora by the hand. " it doesn't have to be this way. We can heal the land together. We can start again.....please sister". For a second i think its all over. " you see sis that's where your wrong. Only one of us can heal the land we both know that's not me...... only one of us can live". Aurora places her hands on both sides of Luna's head and kisses her forehead. Luna looks up into her eyes " there is one way". A tear trails down her cheek just before Aurora snaps her neck. As she walks away she turns to the boy who seems to be made of light. "Burn her we don't need her coming back for revenge now do we". She vanishes i forgot about mr shadows until he shouts. " No! No this cant be goddess please answer me". He drops to his knees beside her reaching to touch her face. " Don't ". The other man stares daggers at mr shadows.

Mr shadows backs away from his goddess. His body stars to change in his place is a really big black wolf. He jumps at the bright boy. And i see a flash of red fire the boy must have control of fire. After some time the wolf wins he limps over to his goddess and wipers. He changes back and picks up his goddess takes her to the lake. He calls water and earth to him and begins to fill the lake. He creates the waterfall and brings the trees around the lake alive hiding his goddess resting place. He picks her up and swims over to the waterfall walks threw and comes back alone. Before he leaves he blows a kiss " I shall see you again my love until then ill keep to the shadows.

I open my eyes to a picture of the waterfall. I cant help but wonder what my goddess wanted me to get out of that. As i left my drawing room only one thing was on my mind. Where is Aurora???
