Khushi opened her eyes to a new place. She just couldn't make out anything, and she still felt fuzzy in the head. Funny part was she couldn't even remember her own name. Miserable, she went to sleep. About twenty minutes later, she was woken up by a fairly pretty lady.

"Feeling better, beta (daughter)?" she asked.

"Better?" Khushi asked slowly, looking at her, then around the room she was in. "Sorry, but who are you? And where am I? Um, my head hurts."

"What?" The lady's eyes would've popped out any second. Another kind looking, old lady with really grey hair walked in. "Garima, I know it's hard for you, but let's take it little by little right now, okay? For Khushi?"

Khushi held her head in both hands. "It really hurts ma'am. My head. And I can't remember anything. Anything." She let her tears flow.

The kind lady wiped the tears from her eyes and sat next to Khushi. "It's okay, beta. It'll be fine. It always is."

She asked," I'm really sorry, but I have no idea what is going on. Could you please tell me what happened? And god, my head hurts."

The lady smiled...or tried to." Darling, you are Khushi Kumari Gupta, sorry, Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada. And I'm your mother.
