Google has the perfect definition of privacy:
The state or condition of being free from being observed or disturbed by other people.
THAT is why knocking was invented. If you are going to barge into peoples room at least give the poor person a heads up. My parents will barge into my room all the time and it is sooo freaking irritating. Its like they have no manners. Then when i am in my basement my mom will go into my room like she own the place. Even...though....she...does. BUT THAT IS BESIDES THE POINT!!!
