*This was a project I had in my history class to make up laws that limit human rights and basically taking power, I hope you guys enjoy!*
Friends, citizens, lend me your ear. As most of you already know, Polaris is in severe debt from losing the great Polarian war. This is just a minor setback in government official workings of our land, we will restore order and bring light to our darkened horizons. In order to do this, several new laws and precautions will be made to accommodate the maximum extent of loss. You all may not like what I have to say but I volunteer, to step up as leader to make Polaris a better place. For I have the key to raise the destroyed buildings from rubble and to forever help the world we live in. I assure you that this is inevitable for the greater good of humanity and I put my life on the line for each and every citizen that walks our cobblestone streets.
After the tragic and unimaginable loss of the hundreds of soldiers, today will be an official holiday, Jour de Deuil or "Day of mourning". We get the name from the Fanto people who agreed to help us by giving materials for solar panels to restore electricity. In return, we will be in a strong alliance with them when the time comes for war on their land. For the water problem that occurred shortly after, draining from a pure water reservoir will be necessary. And last but not least, rights will be limited to save money for rebuilding and for overall protection of the people I've came to get to know. Every one of you holds a special place in my heart, and I swear that after ten years, things will go back to the way it was.
First rule of business, cameras and surveillance film will be placed in every street corner, store, barn, business buildings, government buildings, banks, backyard of homes, and bathrooms. I like to call this the protection law, one of the trinities that need to be enforced. Doing this will strike down heavily on criminals of the black market and underground drug deals that thrive in "the underneath". This will force treatment of addiction that devour the ones we love from the inside out, and spark logic throughout our noble cities. It is a known fact that certain drugs tamper with the intellect that comes to us naturally. As well as striking down on the drug market but it will also banish theft.
Secondly, I'd like to state the second law of trinity, the preservation law. This means that citizens will be limited on where they can go, working hand in hand with the third and last trinity, the firelight law. Certain places where travel is justified under the preservation law include, the job market, fruit stands in the plaza, church, schools (for students), libraries (for students;textbooks only), and your residence. Originally this was just for the preservation of the next generation and thus, we get the law's name, keeping people safe is the goal. Students and young children love going outside and vandalizing places of importance such as trains that weaken our reputation as a society and putting themselves in danger to do so. Containing these crimes would be best if only certain places were able to be visited. And since discrimination is heavily prominent, it would be best if everyone followed the same rule. A maximum of two locations a day will be allowed for each person and will have to go through signing documents outside of each location for the government to keep tabs,
The last of the trinity is the firelight law that I mentioned earlier. This entails only going out during certain times of day, to make it easier to keep track of who moves in and out. From 12pm-4pm are the hours every day of the week, certain exceptions include school and the work industry, as well as any hospital or health related places, other than that, no exceptions will be permitted.
Those who don't follow the trinity laws will be taken and apprehended on site, people who break these laws will be known via tattoo. There are three sections of the trinity insignia and each section represents a law broken, people will be marked for the law they broke visible somewhere on the face..
Next I've come to talk about education, because teaching the next generation is one of the most important. The curriculum for schools will be changed, reading of classic literature and Polaris history will be the center classes and required to maximize learning so our land won't fall into the repetition wars due to not learning from them. To inspire leaders of tomorrow would benefit to the extreme, and the possibilities of what comes after education is endless. Elective classes will still be allowed due to the laws of self expression. Classes include (but not limited to) Creative Writing, Photography, Style (fashion class), all different types of art and music as well as foreign languages. Classes on Politics and Business can be chosen.
On another topic, our police force will be strong and somewhat strict and brutal only for the wellbeing of others. There will be both a secret police (The Hidden) and a regular police force (The Polars). The Polars will guide the restriction of the access to buildings as mentioned in the preservation laws and have other duties such as making an arrest. The hidden will walk among you, normal people by the light of day but undercover officers by night. They will be sent if there is suspicion of someone in a police case as well to keep an eye on us to keep us alive. Also, there will be more officers in "the underneath" for obvious reasons stated above.
Last but not least, I am here to talk about the final new set of laws, the laws of self expression. This translates to "Doing what makes you feel good", such as hobbies and giving freedom of voice. Wearing what you want (to an extent; censored in schools), making music, listening to music, making films (restricted in government areas), photography, writing, art, and almost all other forms. Television will not be limited (only to those who can't pay), and such things like that. That's not all, discrimination and beaking freedom of voice to others will not be tolerated. Bullying due to difference of religion, race, sex, sexuality, gender, and things of that nature will be taken care of immediately. Care to victims of suicide, rape, attempted murder, addiction will be given free of charge to those and their families.
That is all I have for you today, I would like to take some time to thank you for listening and being understanding of the precautions we have to take due to the tragedy that has broke us. All my love goes out to the people who have lost husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, lovers, friends, and loved ones during this time of great loss. Condolences go out to the families and a message for all of you, be safe.

The Firelight Law: The third and last law of "Trinity", Limits the time of day where people can go.
Laws Of Self Expression: Protection against discrimination and magnifies expression of voice. Includes listening to the music you want to, wearing what you want (to an extent), free choice of Television and hobbies that express such as the arts.
