Audrey's POV

The door is opened again but this time, the bag on my head is removed. I look up to see a relieved Glenn standing there, holding the bag that was recently over my head. He rips the tape of my mouth. "Ow, Glenn!" "Sorry." He mumbles while blushing slightly. I roll my eyes as he cuts the ropes around my wrists and feet. I sigh and thank Glenn. He gives me a lopsided smile. "He can't breath!" We heard someone yell out from the hall. We run to go see an older man clutching his chest, as he struggled to breath. I push myself forward and kneel in front of the man. "Hello sir, I'm gonna need ya to breathe into this ok?" I say calmly, as I hand him a paper bag. "Someone get some asthma stuff." I have no clue what he needs but I'm gonna guess he has asthma. A few women around my age come forward and immediately start helping the man. I step back and Glenn pats me on the shoulder. "Good job, Audrey." "Thanks pizza boy." I reply with a smirk. Glenn lets out a small laugh but is cut off. "Glenn? Audrey?" We turn around to see Daryl, T-Dog and Rick standing there confused. I smile brightly and we walk up to them. "What's going on?" Rick asks. "An asthma attack. The man suddenly couldn't breathe." Glenn replies, as I just nod. "Man, I thought you were getting eaten by the dogs!" T-Dog exclaims. "Those dogs?" I say pointing to two chihuahuas sitting on a pink leopard print dog bed. We all share a small laugh and Rick excuses himself to talk to the Latino man that I believe is the leader. "So, did ya guys get my hat?" I ask, obviously wanting my hat. T-Dog chuckles and tells me Rick has it. I nod in response.

*~~* Time Skip *~~*

We walk back to the van and I tune out the boys. What if we did find Merle? What's going to happen because we didn't find him? What- My thoughts were interrupted by a question. "Where's our van?" Rick asks. I sigh and look up to the sky. "Merle." We start jogging back to camp. We ran the whole way and we were all tired. We were almost there and it was getting dark. A scream came from the camp and some gunfire. I pushed myself to the limit and sprinted up. I grabbed my pistol and began to shoot. There was geeks everywhere. "Dad! Aunt Audrey!" I heard Carl call out. My eyes flicker to him and Lori but I quickly refocus and continue shooting the geeks. When all the geeks were dead, Carl ran to me. Tears were streaming down his face. "Sh...sh...it's ok. I-it's gonna be ok." I whisper to him. After a long hug, the kids and a few of the women decided to go and try and get some sleep. By morning, we were still cleaning up and Andrea was still sitting with Amy. I sighed as I walked past her carrying a random geek along with T-Dog. We throw the walker in the pile and go out separate ways. I yawn and rub my eyes as I stretch.

"You should sleep." I whip around to see Rick standing there. "I'm fine." I say sharply then turn around. Rick grabs my wrist and turns me around. "Sleep." I sigh and nod my head. I go to my tent and crawl into my sleeping bag. As soon as I get comfortable I fall asleep. I wake up and yawn again. I go to put on my shoes but then I realize that I left them on. I step out of the tent and look around. I walk up to camp and see no one there. The RV is gone, the fire is out, everything is gone.

Asshats forgot me. I sigh and pack up everything I can carry. I begin walking. I follow the trail of tire as long as I can. Eventually, I come across a car. I get in and try the key. A small smile plays on my lips as I hear the satisfying rumble of the engine. I speed down the road until I see Daryl's truck, Dales RV, Carols cherokee and Shane's jeep. I skid to a stop and hop out of the car. People look surprised by my sudden appearance. "Aunt Audrey?" Carl asks, confused. "Love you guys too." I mumble as I lean up against the RV. Lori walks up to me. "Where were you? I thought you were in the RV or something." I narrow my eyes at her. "You guys forgot me." I spat at her. Loud enough for everyone to hear. Realization dawns on them and they suddenly look guilty. "Y'all, Jim's not doing to good. He wants us to leave him." Jaqui said, stepping out of the RV. What happened to Jim? "Is he lucid?" Shane asks her. "It seems like it." Rick nods. "This is what I meant when I said Daryl was right. We should let him choose his fate. It seems like he has though." Dale says, wringing his hat in his hands. Shane and Rick help Jim out of the RV and carry him to the tree line and leave him by a tree. Shane nods to him and walks off. Rick offers his gun but Jim turns it down.

We all say our goodbyes and finally, there's me. I walk up to him and sigh. "Thank you... For everything." I almost never talked to Jim at my time at the camp but he helped us. He doesn't deserve this fate, none of us do. He nods to me and smiles slightly. "You keep that boy alive. Ya hear me? He looks up to you so much. He trusts you." I give him a crooked smile and he nods back. I turn around and walk back to the car that I took here. I duck down into the drivers side and sat there for a second. The other cars started to drive but I sat there. I have one last glance over to Jim and started the car. I drove until I could read the license plate on Merle's motorcycle and slowed down a bit. I followed behind the cars unknowingly.

Where the hell are we going? We drive for another hour until we pull to a stop. The CDC. I hop out of the car, grabbing my backpack and slinging it on my back. Dead geeks lay everywhere, flies picking on their flesh. City geeks and Military geeks alike. Some of us start to cough but I just look away, keeping my head up. "shh, shh, come on now. Keep quiet." Shane tells everyone as he takes up the back. I walk up to the front beside Rick and whisper to him, "I don't think no ones here Rick. It's not safe."

"it's fine." "Ok, stay together." "Keep moving." "Shh." repeats from behind us. "Shut up" I whisper yell, stopping the whispers. The whispering continues but are way quieter as we close in to the CDC. We get up to the door, the shutters are closed and the lights are off. Rick bangs on the shudders, rattling the metal. "Rick stop!" I call out over the metal shaking. "There's no one here, man." Shane tells Rick. "But the shutters are closed! They wouldn't be closed if someone was inside!" Rick starts banging on the shudders and yelling.

"Walkers!" Daryl shouts as he shoots the geek in the head. Everyone starts calling for us to leave as a few people cry and Shane struggles to get Rick to move. "The camera moved! It moved!" "Rick it's a robot!" I yell back as I shoot geeks down. "Please, you're killing us! We have children! You're killing us!" "Rick!" I scream at him, right before the shudders open. We gape at them as they open up. we quickly went inside as a gun was cocked. "Are any of you infected?" The man inside calls. "No, we had one, but he didn't make it." Rick calls back.

Did he have to bring up Jim? "What do you want?" I don't hesitate to reply. "A chance." Rick glances at me but looks forward again. "Thats a lot to ask for these days." "I know." Rick mumbles. The man sighs and lowers his gun. "Grab your stuff. Once that door closes, it's not opening again." Rick looks back and nods to a few of the guys and they run to grab everyones stuff. I watch the door, making sure no geeks get to close. They run back in, carrying peoples stuff and the door closes. I sigh and back away from the door.

Maybe this place could be safe. Maybe it could be a camp for us. A home.
