• 1941 - Americans refuse to join the war to support Britain
1943
• 1943 - The Royal Air Force raids Berlin, causing large fires and thousands of civilian casualties
1944.
• June 6th, 1944 - D-Day landings fail leading to the annihilation of the Allied forces. This begins an erosion of trust between US and UK governments. Captured Allied servicemen are later ordered to build the Normandy Defense Museum

1945• March 15, 1945 - The Red Army retreats from Moscow following a week-long German bomb raid that obliterated the city
