Clay's POV

The sudden rush of wind came just as suddenly as that girl who appeared on the roof beside me. We were having any conversation two people who have just met each other would have. Although, none of us has told the other our name. I guess we were passed talking about our names; now we were talking about my past.

"If it makes you feel any better, my brother Luke has gone missing. But, I think he may have died."

My usual calm face showed pity as she said that, I felt a little sorry for her. "There is something about names today."

"Why?" She asked.

"There was a guy named Luke that was involved in Gray's death. Infact he also bullied me." I don't know what is up with today; but it seems that my past will be visiting my present.

"The guy was a real nut, he was much stronger than me, so I had to do what he said. He and his little gang thought it would be funny to make me kill my own dog. That motherfudger..."

"Oh my goodness that is horrible! Luke had some problems when we were living in our small hometown called Greenhill, it was like that place put a curse on him. He was angry all the time, angry at everything."

"I lived at Greenhill too! Did you go to Maroon May Elementary?"

"Yes, in fact I did."

"What's your last name? Is it Ashton?"

"Yup. My name is Lexi Ashton, my brother is Luke Ashton. What is your name?"

"My name is Clay Valentine, and I admit Ashton is a really cool name. But, that was the name of the guy that bullied me."

*RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING*

The school bell pierced my ears, it sounded cool on the roof though. Because it echoed, just like it was rippling through water.

"We better get going to our next class, this isn't our school so we have to be respectful."

"Wait! After telling me this don't you think it's a bit cruel for you to walk away like that?"
"Well, my brother is dead, and it was all in the past. So what do you expect me to do?"

"You said so yourself; you're not sure if he's dead or not; just that it would be the most logical answer. When was the last time you even saw him?"

"If you were listening to me earlier, you would have known the last time I saw him was the day when the school caught on fire."

"So maybe if you searched the school you might find him?"
"Are you an idiot? The cops and firefighters probably should have found him by now."

"But they didn't did they?"

I felt like I should have talked to her more, but before I was able to, she was heading towards the door. However, before I attempted to persuade her to search the old school, she had this look on her face that told me she would.

So I started to head class, too. Hoping that the teacher was too occupied with the other students to notice me slip in. Taking out my phone, I texted my friends: Amber Norris, Matt Wallace, and Gabe Turing, they were great at stirring up crowds. Therefore, I told them to make some noise so the poor teacher would be distracted and my entrance would go unnoticed. As I was about to touch the knob of the door, I thought; 'Maybe I should check out the school later, and see for myself.'
