Percy and Annabeth

Alessandro's

It was Saturday April 6th. A very special day for me, not as much for Annabeth, but incredibly good for me. That day was the day I grew some balls.

That morning I drifted awake and looked at my alarm clock. 6:44. I almost fell out of bed but casually got up and got dressed. I went downstairs and put the coffee on. Then I put poptarts in the toaster because I wanted poptarts. I put some poptarts in the toaster for Annabeth.

I pulled out the small black box from my pocket and smiled fondly. Then I put it back in my pocket. When the coffee maker told me it was done making my coffee, I poured myself a cup then I poured my wise girl one. I brought up the cup to our bedroom and put it on the nightstand beside her bed. I put my hand on her cheek and she started to wake up.

"Hey." She smiled.

"Morning beautiful. I brought you some coffee."

"Mmmmmm" She sipped her coffee. "I would love a poptart."

"That's funny! I made some it's in the toaster."

She kept drinking her coffee. Then she got up and got dressed and I went downstairs to get ready for work. I brought my briefcase that had all the forms and my computer in it. Annabeth came down and I said.

"I made a reservation for Alessandro's. For dinner at 7. You busy?"

"Wow really? Alessandro's is really hard to get into. Seven is great! What's the occasion?"

"I wanted to? I'm excited for tonight Wise Girl."

"Me too Seaweed Brain." She gave me a quick peck on the cheek. I smiled happily.
