12: Visitors, Shoots, and More, kill me now

Mom would have died if she found out what had happened a few days before. If she found out that I had kissed Vladimir Vurkadock. She would have told me what an insane person Marie Lisa François was if I was seen kissing him in the middle of the school.

The thing was Mom didn't even know what he was. Now waking up in the middle of the morning from a dream of just being kissed by Vladimir in the middle of my large, humongous bed, I woke up alert and sat up in the middle of my room staring at myself in the mirror. “Oh God, not again!” my cheeks were full on red.

The dreams were full on bad, me kissing Vladimir and him kissing back while we were on the bed and I don’t think we were going to ever stop not until my mom was knocking on the door to stop us.

“Good Morning Miss.” Ramon, the butler says as he comes inside the room followed by two maids bringing in the cart filled with my breakfast and a coffee machine drip ready to make anything that I wish to be made. “Breakfast is of order, what would you like for your morning cup?”

“Where is she?” I asked, clearly wanting to know where the she-devil was.

“Your mother wants you to be at her calling for this day, clearly since you have nothing to do since it is a Saturday, miss.” Ramon said. “Will that be all?” he asks.

“No, that will not be all.” I said and stood up to go and open the tray with the breakfast, it was one of those shiny silver trays that you would see in the fancy houses. I picked the cover up and there were toasts and some sausages and strawberries with cream. Nah.

“Her secretary will be up soon to talk about your schedule for today.” Ramon says and then leaves the room after a bow.

Royalty they say. Mom always felt like she was a royal, but I always felt like I wasn’t, I felt like we were just downgrading people into something they were not. I just felt like every one of us was equals.

Someone started making their way upstairs, heels clattering up like some kind of horse. What was this, noise town early in the morning? I peeked out of my room and there dressed in hot pink was my mother’s drag queen secretary, Melissa.

“Hi!” she said her high pitched voice shrieking through the room. Oh God, early in the morning and my ears are piercing through. “So, for today we’ll be having a shoot with Louis Vuitton, your mother has to be there bright as nine in the morning, wouldn’t want the bags to be waiting would we? At twelve she has a luncheon with Coco Chanel and after she has a runway show to be at for Yves. Got it?” she asked. I looked at her and smiled. Sure…

She smiled, got up with her book and then went out of my room. Both the maids smiled and then I looked at them and smiled. “That’ll be all ladies.” I said. “I’m quite full.” I said, showing them my piece of toast in my hands.

I texted Vladimir an SOS saying that I couldn’t exactly meet him today because I had some things I had to do because of Mom occupying my whole day. Now all I had to do was call in sick.

It was around eight forty-five in the morning. I sat down in my bed, still unchanged and still not planning to change at all. I hate you Mom and will forever hate you! So I will not change into whatever and I will stay in my bed.

“She hasn’t changed yet Mam, she says she’s fee—“

“Marie Lisa François!” my mother’s voice screeched inside my room. This was now my cue to roll down my bed and pretend to be sick. “You better get changed now! You should know better than to be sick. And I know you’re not young girl.”
