Chapter 3: Yes even though I talk mean, people still have feelings, and one of them could be sadness

I, Luke, and Kevin became good friends and we became to know each other for quite a while. Luke after all wasn’t really much of a shy person; he was only shy because he didn’t know the person, other than that, nothing was wrong with him.

Kevin eventually started walking away from us and hanging out with his new girlfriend Samantha.

Samantha Hickens, she’s a sophomore, one year younger than all the three of us, she pretty much rules Biology with her friends. Kevin got influenced and started liking Biology pretty much, but she’s a cool girl, but believe me Samantha was obsessive sometimes. Sometimes.

After at least two months, it was November 10.

The next day was a disaster, when I woke up I noticed that it smelled like smoke. SHOOT! What was happening? I looked around and woke up in the couch as I looked around I saw the oven having smoke go out of it.

“WHAT THE HELL!” I screamed. I went towards the oven and got my mittens above them and opened the oven. The smoke was so gray and it smelled like rotten cake. I coughed as I opened the window by the kitchen and was fanning against the smoke coming into my eyes.

The smell went out after an hour and a half I guess, the neighbors were shocked of what happened when the alarm in my room alerted for at least a good fifteen minutes. A fire truck even passed by because they thought that it was a serious thing, I told them I just overcooked a cake.

I got the cake out of the oven and put it inside the trashcan at the side of the kitchen. “That was amazing!” I said. I mean that was the first time I ever tried something like that, I mean if I was with my mom like before, nothing like that would ever happen, if I was still with the queen then I would never have experienced such a thing just because I’m living with so many people who can do that by themselves.

“Hey.” Someone knocked at the door. I walked up and peeked at the hole and smiled as I saw April at the door.

April Henning’s, she was living in room 525 and I used to live there, until my mom said that she was going to pay for my apartment and I had to live in a bigger one because if she would come inside she wanted it to be spacious, so I rented the biggest apartment which had three bedrooms and had at least four to five bathrooms around a huge kitchen and a storage room that was as big as my bed.

“Hey.” I said as I opened the door and April was there.

“Happy Birthday.” She said. How did she know? I mean I never spread it around saying, OMG! It’s my birthday! No I never did that because I never wanted noise, pain, and a head ache, and now, one person just told me early in the morning when an incident happened. A happy birthday, so I did the inevitable.

“Come on in.” I said as if I was happy. She brought a cake with a candle on top of it and set it on the table. She smiled at me as she hugged me and gave me something wrapped in shiny paper.

“Go on, open it.” She said as she was giggling, she was looking around for a lighter around the house and she smiled as she found it and she lit it. The candle lit up and she smiled at me leading me towards the cake. “Go on, blow!” she said squealing. I just sarcastically smiled and just blew the candle or else I don’t know what April would do to me.

“Thanks.” I lied. I didn’t want a birthday remember! “Um, who told you?”

“Someone sent me a note, it was under my mattress yesterday night, it said your birthday was today, I think it was Merriam who sent it, but it was really sweet, and I mean you should really celebrate your birthday.” She said.
