"I love you, too." I smiled to my teary eyed best friend as we released from our tight embrace. "Make sure to call me as soon as you get to the airport, and text when you leave, and call when you land, an-"

"I will, boo." I said, silencing her rambling. She smiled, her bottom lip quivering before pulling me into another tight embrace. I sobbed into her shoulder as she did mine, and we were interrupted by my mother. "Addison, get over here now. It's time to leave." I scowled at her over Nicole's head, and run my fingers through her long curled blonde hair. I pulled away and looked into her blue eyes, her light eyeliner smuged around them. I smiled the best I could and wiped under her eyes, and she began a new round of tears.

"Don't cry anymore, Nikki." I begged, grabbing her hand. "I-I can't help it." she hiccupped, and I blinked back the tears gathering in my own eyes. I had to be strong for now, I don't want her to be even sadder. "I'm going to miss you." she pouted, sucking in a sharp breath. "I know," I mumbled, grabbing my bag with my free hand. "I'm going to miss you, too." I squeezed her hand one last time and let go, wrapping my arms around her shoulders.

"I have to go now. The witch is calling me." I whispered, making her choke on a laugh.

"I love you."

That was over two hours ago.

Right now, I was on an airplane, on my way to New York City. I finally got accepted into Julliard, the school of my dreams. I was majoring in music, and couldn't wait to get started. My heart skipped a beat as I thought of all that was to come to me. I sighed again and looked out the window, sticking my earbuds in my ear. As Poison and Wine by the Civil Wars played through my head, a young flight attendant walked to my seat.

After convincing her I wasn't in need of anything, I drifted off into a nap, my head in a million different places.

I woke up to the fuzzy voice over the loudspeakers, and turned my music off. I wrapped my earbuds around my phone and placed it into my purse, and buckled myself into my seat. This is it.

Once we landed, about ten minutes later, I stood up and turned my phone back on, and grabbed my purse and carry ons. I waited in line to unboard the plane, and finally got out to the terminal. I looked around and saw a few other people around my age, and imagined if they were going to the same school as me. I walked to luggage and grabbed my suitcase and guitar case, and pulled my duffel bag over my shoulder.

After waiting outside for a few minutes, a cab pulled up, and I gave him the adress of the university.

"Julliard, aye?" he asked, looking at me in the rear-view mirror. I nodded excitedly and he grinned. "I can see a girl like you getting in." he laughs. What is he talking about? I look down at my outfit, strapless black floor-length dress, and brown leather sandals. I tugged on the sleeves of my white cardigan softly, and looked back up at him, "You are very composed, is all." he says, trying not to make me uncomfortable.

"Oh?' is all I ask him, and he nods. "Yeh, most of the kids I pick up either don't care about their appearance or wear hardly any clothes. It's rare to get people like you, but it's good." I nod, and am taken back by what he said. I can't see how the kind of people he is describing could get into such a nice school, but I push the thought aside.

A few minutes later are spent in silence, and he pulls up in front of the school. I thank him as he helps me with my bags in the back and pay him, walking in the glass front doors while he drives away. When I walk in, I am greeted by a woman behind a big oak desk, and she smiles politely at me. I smile back at her and set my bags down beside my feet, and she asks for my name.
