*one week later*

I had to quit my summer job since classes started again. Chelsea's stomach was still unnoticeable but it did show. Most importantly, my mother called again. She must really need the money considering how much she has tried to persuade me to go to Florida and live with her.

I was walking home from class when I got another call. "I told you I'm not going." I spat, knowing exactly who this was. "Jay, I missed you. I haven't seen you in nearly five years and I know I made a mistake but things happen and what happened between me and your father got in the way of many things like you and I." She spoke in a sincere tone, but I know she was just talking crap. "Whatever you do, you can't make me come back." I said as I hung up. I arrived home so I laid my things on the couch and walked over to the bedroom. The house was empty, Zayn must've left for class already.

I decided to go for a run, I needed the exercise and I didn't feel like going to the gym. I switched into something more comfortable and grabbed my house keys and iPod. I put my iPod on shuffle and began running, no where exactly, just running. Once I got near the park I decided to have a little break and drink some water. I took a seat on one of the benches and rested for a while, when i noticed Harry staring at me. I waved back so I didn't seem rude, as he started walking towards me. "Hi." I said as he took a seat next to me. "Hey, so what brings you to the park?" He asked, flipping his hand through his long curls. "I was running." I stated, taking another sip of my water. "I actually came here on a date." Harry stated, he had a proud expression. "That's great! Who is it?" I asked. "That girl over there, her names Fiona." He said amazed at her himself, pointing to a girl with long, silky black hair, a beautiful body and an amazingly sculpted face. "She looks gorgeous." I mentioned. "She is, I'm going to ask her to be my girlfriend tomorrow, at dinner." He said. "What happened to "this is why I'm never getting a girlfriend" harry?" I joked, making us both laugh before he turned serious. "I feel like she's the one." He whispered. I smiled and got up from the bench. "Good luck, but I've got to continue my run." I waved goodbye and continued to run near the shops and the parking lots.

After breaking a sweat I ran back home, happy with the amount of miles I ran. I stripped off all my clothing and hopped in the shower, putting the water on as hot as it could go, washing all the sweat off and cleansing my body. Once I was finished I wrapped my self in a towel and did the same to my hair, I walked into the bedroom to see that Zayn was home, he was asleep on the bed. I quickly grabbed some clothing from the closet and changed in the bathroom so I wouldn't wake him up, and blow dried my hair. I applied a bit of make up and walked out, happy with the outcome. Zayn must've woken up because he started groaning and moving around. "Jay?" He asked, with his raspy voice. "Sorry to wake you up babe." I softly spoke, trying to get him to fall back asleep. He got up and say on the bed, gently rubbing his eyes. "No it's fine." He smiled as I gave him a small kiss on the cheek. "Guess what, that friend of yours that made fun of you for becoming such a girl when you started dating me, is getting a girlfriend." I explained. "Harry is getting a girlfriend?" Zayn asked and I nodded in reply, he seemed really surprised. "And she's amazing, she was beautiful. So I guess Harry finally decided on committing to something for once." I joked as Zayn played with my hair.

Zayn and I were watching TV when I got yet another call from my mom, just great. I walked over to the bedroom and answered. "Hello?" The voice on the other line spoke. "When will you get the message that I'm not interested?!" I whispered. "I have been nothing but nice to you, I offered you a home, a place to live where you will be happy, with your family. But, being the stubborn person you are, like your father, you refused to accept my offers. I called the number where that boy Zayn lives and it turns out his legal documents only allow ONE person to live in that apartment. I'm giving you one last chance to come live with me or I will make sure you and your boyfriend Zayn are removed from that home, understand?" She said in a stern voice, I felt the tears make their way down my cheek, she can't do this, this isn't fair. I didn't deserve this, why couldn't she just leave me alone. I thought everything through, I had to go. For everyone's sake. "F-fine, but what do I tell Zayn?" I whisper, not wanting Zayn to hear any of this. "Tell him you found a house and your moving out, your ticket should arrive tomorrow and you are going to the airport tomorrow at midnight." She said. I wiped away the tears and hung up. I hate my life. "Jay? Is something wrong? You've been gone for a while." Zayn spoke from the other side of the door. I put on a fake smile and opened the door, it's funny what a smile can hide. "Yes, I'm fine." I said with a smile. He smiled back and gave me a kiss. "Zayn? Can you do me a favor?" I asked. "Yeah sure." He said with his beautiful smile that I was going to miss. "Can you hug me, not just a regular hug, sweep me off my feet as I rest my head on your shoulder." I said, if this was going to be my last night as a couple with Zayn then I wanted it to make it last. "Of cause." He said, and he picked me off my feet, spinning me around and gently kissing the crook of my neck as I rested my head on his shoulder and held on tight to his neck, never wanting to let go. Almost as if I was too afraid to let go. Zayn was my protector, he was a shield that kept me away from the rest of the world, he kept me safe and soon I wouldn't have him anymore. That tore me to pieces.
