dylanobrien : so when am I going to meet you ?
julietmay : i don't know, but i have an idea
julietmay : but you need to tell me honestly what you think of it!
dylanobrien : sure!
dylanobrien : what's the idea?
julietmay : so, my school year is finished in a month
julietmay : maybe i can spend my holiday in L.A ?
dylanobrien : that would be freaking amazing!
dylanobrien : i would love that!
julietmay : YAY
julietmay : so uh, i just need to have a place to stay, but i was thinking of just booking an hotel nearby your house or something
dylanobrien : are you kidding me ?
dylanobrien : you can stay at my house!
julietmay : are you sure ?
julietmay : i don't have any problems with booking an hotel
dylanobrien : and i don't have any problems with having you stay with me
julietmay : okay, then i guess we have a plan :)
dylanobrien : so which date will you arrive ?
julietmay : i kind of have to talk to my mum about it first, before i make any solid plans
dylanobrien : okay, i'll hear from you then (:
julietmay : yea, i'm just gonna talk with my mum now
dylanobrien : okay, talk to you later xxx
I lock my phone, releasing a deep breath. I really want to meet Dylan. I've been wanting to meet him since Holland told me about Dylan and how he talks about me. Before that, I wasn't to sure if it was all real. I kept telling myself that I was dreaming. How can I talk with the actual Dylan O'Brien. But I am. It's all real. I'm not dreaming.
I slowly make my way down the stairs. I hear the TV on. I take one last deep breath before walking into the living room.
No, my mum isn't a monster. She just isn't to fond of me being away for longer than a few days. She is actually really protective of me, for many reasons.
My mum looks up when she sees me. She smiles.
"Hi honey, what's up?" she puts the volume of the TV down and looks at me.
"Hi mum. I need to tell you something and ask you something at the same time" I start. My mum frowns and sits up right. She puts her glass down and turns, so her whole body is facing me. I slowly sit down in front of her.
"So, a couple of weeks ago, like maybe 6 or so, I posted my kik on Twitter. Kik is an app where you can talk with people. So uh, someone added me and started talking to me. He was really nice, but I never knew what he looked like. Until one point, where he told me. You know that show I watch, Teen Wolf?" my mum nods.
"Yea, the show that is about wherewolves and some of your favorite actors play in it" she says. I nod.
"Well, the boy told me his name is Dylan O'Brien and that he plays in Teen Wolf. And he started commenting on my Instagram and so is the rest of the cast, so it really is true. I've been talking to him non stop. Whenever I get the chance, I talk to him. And it's nice. He listens to me and he is really nice" my mum keeps nodding. She never let me talk for so long without interupting me.
"So, as school is almost finishing, I have 2 months off. I was wondering if you'd let me go to L.A. to meet him" I finish. My mum looks frozen. It's her thinking stage. She always freezes when she is thinking about something really hard. She always has the same look in her face, her eyebrows pointed towards each other, her lips in a thin lin and her eyes slightly closed.
"Do you know, for 100% sure that it is him?" she asks me. I nod slowly.
"Yea, he sometimes sends selfies on set" I tell her. She nods, goes back to her thinking face.
"For how long do you want to go ?"
"I don't know, maybe the entire holiday, maybe less"
"Well, you're 21, you're an adult, so I can't stop you. I just need to know that you're going to be safe" she says.
"I am mum. I trust him. And there are other people going to be around. I promise you, I'll be safe" I tell her. Her thinking face fades away and she starts smiling.
"Well, if you really want too, then yes, you can go" she says.
"Thank you so much mum!" I jump up and hug her tight. I can't wait to tell Dylan. I can't wait to read how he reacts. And in a month, I won't just have to read, I will see.
