•Brads pov•

"Mia!" I said as I found her in the waiting room.

I had gotten the first flight up to Scotland that  I could get this morning. I got no sleep last night either. Riley was in hospital and nobody would tell me why, and that really scared me.

"Brad!" She said as she hugged me.

"What happened to her?"

"We don't really know. She had been complaining of a pain in her stomach before we performed but she was completely fine on stage and after the show and all through dinner. Then we were walking back to the hotel and she just dropped to the floor. We don't know what happened"

"But what if something is seriously wrong with her?" Ari said from the other side of me. "What if she won't be okay?"

"She will be"

"But what if she's not?!" Ari cried. "She's been my best friend for 3 years, I need her!"

"Ari she'll be fine" I said, giving her a side hug. "I've known Riley for 15 years now, I know her like no one else does, so I know how strong she is. And she'll pull through this, whatever it is"

"Are you all here for Miss Taylors?" A Doctor said, coming over to us as we nodded. "Okay so we believe we know what happened to her, but I'd like to ask some questions before we decide for sure. So has she been overly tired the last few days, and been very moody?"

"Yeah"

"And has she gained much weight?" He asked, scribbling some notes on his clipboard.

"She has gained a bit more than usual over the last few days, yeah"

"And finally, has she been sick everyday? Most likely in the morning?"

"Yeah"

"Alright. So we believe that Riley has experienced what is known as pseudocyesis"

"What's that?" I asked, sitting on the edge of my seat.

"It is also known as a phantom pregnancy. It is basically when the mind convinces the body that there is a fertilised egg in the womb. Therefor the body starts to experience pregnancy symptoms, such as nausea and weight gain" he nodded.

"So....she's not pregnant?"

"No"

I sighed. After nearly 24 hours of worrying about it, that weight had been taken off of my shoulders to just finally know the truth. It was obvious that I was slightly upset as well. The idea of having a child with Riley was always be dream from the age of around 16. I always had dreams of marrying her and having children and living in this big mansion when I grew up a little more, just always dreaming of spending my entire life with her. And after thinking about starting that life with Riley for the last few hours, I was a little bummed out it wasn't happening.

"Riley is also asking for a Mr Simpson"

I stood up and followed the doctor to a room that I'm guessing was Riley's. And there she was. As pale as ever in the hospital bed wearing one of the funny hospital gowns.

"Brad" she sighed as she seen me. "You came"

"Of course I came Riles, I wasn't going to let you do this on your own" I said, sitting in the plastic chair next to her bed and grabbed her hand. "How are you feeling?"

"Alright. Sort of a relief I guess" she shrugged sadly. "I didn't want to make life complicated for either of us"

"You know that I do want to have kids with you right?" I said, softly stroking the back of her hand with my thumb.

"Yeah but not right now"

"Yeah now wasn't exactly the best timing. But I was going to stay by your side either way Riles, I wouldn't of abandoned you and our child just because I'm young"

"I love you"

"I love you too" I said pecking her lips. "The boys were worrying about you by the way"

"Of course they would. They're like protective brothers"

"Because they feel like they need to protect you as of you were their sister. They love you. Not as much as I love you though"

"Cringe" she rolled her eyes playfully.

"You love it really. Only you that can still look hot in a hospital gown by the way" I winked.

"Again, cringe" she said. "But i am really glad you're here"

"And I'll always be here Riles"

"Forever?"

"Forever".......
