•Brads PoV•

Christmas Eve morning had to have been the best morning we've had in this house in months. After Joe had let me and Riley out of that room, we went to my room and talked through things properly. But it was an amazing feeling to be able to talk to her again, to know that she didn't fully hate me anymore. And apparently Joe had done to the others what he did with us, locked them in a room until they talked things out. So now there was barely any tension between any of us. We were all in the kitchen, the girls being angels and making us boys breakfast as we all sang Christmas songs at the top of our lungs.

"Tris, pretty please can you get me the flour please" Riley said.

"Dude you're so small, it's not that high up" tris replied, grabbing the flour and handing it to her.

"Make fun of my height again and they'll be no pancakes for you mister"

"Then you'll be missing out Tris, her pancakes are the best" I added.

"Thanks for the backup B" she grinned, fist-bumping me.

What could be better right now?

Having Riley back as your girlfriend could be better, and it's possible. She doesn't hate you
Yeah, it was possible. But for the next few hours I want to focus on just being around her, enjoying her company which I've been deprived of for so long.

"Pancakes for Connor. Pancakes for James. Pancakes for Tristan anddddd pancakes for Bradley" Riley smiled as she placed 4 pancakes on each of our plates, along with all the other food we had on the table that they had made.

"Getting spoiled today boys" Tris said as he rubbed his hands together before digging into his food, all of us copying his actions.

"Uhhhh Riley, these pancakes are the best!" Connor whined, shoving more into his mouth.

"What did I tell you guys?" I said. "This is why we were best friends for so long, cause she made me pancakes every Sunday"

"Watch it Simpson" she narrowed her eyes playfully at me, and I winked back.  "Guys you know why I've just realised? We've all been so busy arguing that we haven't had time to decorate the tree!"

"Oh yeah! Eat up boys, we'll do it now"

Within the next 2 hours the whole house had been decorated, with everyone's contribution. Might be a little late but at least it was done.

"Hey I'm gonna watch a movie, wanna join?" Riley asked me, placing the extra tinsel in the box.

"Sure. What movie?"

"Not decided yet" she shrugged and walked up stairs to her room, me following behind her.

We ended up watching The Muppets Christmas, the film we used to always watch as kids at Christmas. About 10 minutes into the movie we had ended up cuddling too, her head on my chest as I played with the ends of her hair.

"Riles, can I ask you something quickly?" I said quietly.

"Course, what's up?" She asked, pausing the movie.

"Well uh....you know just......what do you think about maybe being my girlfriend again?"

"Is that your way of asking me out again?" She laughed.

"Uh sorta?"

"I'd love to be your girlfriend again Bradley" She smiled, leaning up to peck my lips.

"I didn't think you would forgive me that easily"

"I love you Brad, more than anything in the world. I'm not going to let a stupid fake relationship get in the way of that"

"You know we never really broke up" I said. "I mean neither of us actually said it was over, and the whole Lauren thing was fake, so we never broke up"

"Great logical" she giggled. "But sure I'll go with it"

"I think we should carry on our Christmas Eve tradition"

"Really?"

"Yeah, why not" I said and she smiled.

Our tradition had been the same for years. We'd open 1 present, then drink the most amazing hot chocolate ever before putting our onesies on and watching movies for the rest of the night.

"Okay.....this is most important one I got you" She said, handing me a small square box.

I smiled at her and opened it. Inside was a gold plated guitar pick engraved with my initials. I had also wanted one of these.

"Thank you so much babe, I love it" I smiled, clipping it around my neck before kissing her softly. "And now your turn. But read this first"

The note read: Riles, where do I even start? It's been 15 years and you still take my breath away. We've been through a lot together in these last few months, thinking we were gonna have a child of our own, to arguments, to hospitals, we've done it all. But you know what? I wouldn't change any of it. Everything we've been through has made me realise how important you are to me, and how much I need you in my life. I love you so so so much Riles, more than anything in the world. I know that there will be hard times ahead of us, but if I have you next to me then we'll always get through it. Just remember that whatever happens between us, I'll you love you forever. Lots of love, B xxxx

She looked at me teary eyed before I handed her the real present, a promise ring. She gasped as she opened the small box, her hand flying up to her mouth.

"It's not what you think don't worry" I chuckled. "It's a promise ring. I promise to never hurt you again, I promise to protect you, I promise to stay by your side through thick and thin, and I promise to love you...... forever"

I took the ring from the box and slid it onto her right hand, so that people didn't assume that we were engaged or anything.

"Thank you so much B" she whispered, looking at the ring. "I love you"

"I love you more"

I then went downstairs and made our hot chocolates, smiling to myself as I did so. I had gotten her back. She had forgiven me after my stupid mistake. And there's nothing that could ruin my happiness now........
