Dear whoever this gets sent to,

Hey my name is Scarlett. I personally do not like
this assignment because it's stupid. Like, this is a performing arts school... what does writing letters to strangers have to do with music?

Anyways, I'm currently in my fourth year of college. I wanna become a musician. My mum doesn't like the fact that I don't have a backup career because being in the music industry is a very skeptical thing, and you never know if you'll make it or not.

Do you know the band 5 Seconds of Summer? (hopefully you're not a 25 year old man because I'm about to fangirl hard af)

3 years ago I had a fan account on Twitter. It was called 'colorfulashton'. One day I was spamming them because I wanted to get noticed and I asked if they wanted to build a snowman.

Michael Cifford, the one with the colored hair, said he would build it with me and he'll take one of Ashton's old hats for it.

That was the start of everything. Soon after that, they all followed me and we had daily conversations.

They bought me tickets to one of their concerts for my birthday and we met a week after that.

Unfortunately, we lost contact after my 1st year of college because I needed to focus on my career and I didn't have time for friends.

Hopefully, I can come in contact with them again. I think they broke up though, so it'll be pretty hard.

Anywhore, I'm supposed to ask you a question at the end of each letter so...

What type of music do you listen to? Any bands?
