February 25, 1973

It had been a month since Queen recorded their first demo. On the way home, Brian and I went to the bookstore where I had signed up to audition for Swan Lake. It felt like forever, and the day had finally arrived where the results are posted. I wasn't working at the pub anymore, so my schedule was open. On the morning of the announcements, I decided to head into town to see if I earned a part.

I woke up and took a shower. Once my hair was dry, I pulled it back into a messy bun and applied makeup. I slipped into a pair of jeans, put on my boots along with a red coat and black scarf. Since it was sunny, I decided to wear a pair of sunglasses. Once I was complete, I grabbed my backpack and left the hotel. But before I could exit, Mrs Henderson stopped me. She was the owner of the flat building with a German accent.

"Hey, come here for a moment." She said, taking a drag off her cigar.

"Me?"

"Yes, I'm talking to you." I wandered to her desk where the odor of cigarette ashes filled the area. Her ashtray was full of cigar ends.

"What?"

"Do you know that you're two months overdue on rent?"

"Yes," I sigh. "Mrs Henderson, I'm unemployed now, but I'm going to try to pay you as soon as I can."

"If you don't, I'll have to evict you."

"I understand," I responded, rolling my eyes. "Bye, Ma'am." I turned and headed out towards the street.

I walked down to the bus stop alone; on the bus, I found a seat in the back. My ride was thirty minutes long, and it didn't take long before my mind started to wander.
I thought about how my audition had gone, and how I thought I did very well. I thought about how I had met a girl there. She had caught my attention because she shared my height. She had light blonde hair and light blue eyes. I had the opportunity to talk with her before we left the audition. I learned that she's Russian, and that her name is Idina Kotchetkova. For the remaining duration of the ride, I thought about how it'd be to live with Brian and Roger, and the possible consequences of it that would occur until I had enough money to return to Argentina. By then, I reached my stop.

I wandered through London until I reached the street the theater was on. When I arrived, there was a large group of people gathered around the front where the results where posted. I pushed my way to the front and dragged my finger down the sheet until I found my name: Morazzi, Cynthia.

"I'm Big Swan 1." I said with a huge smile on my face.

"Congratulations!" Someone spoke.

"Thanks! Did you get a part?" I asked him.

He nodded his head and smiled. "I'm Rothbart." Rothbart is the wizard of the Swan Lake.

"Well, that's amazing! What's your name?"

"Lawrence Gillian. What is yours?"

"Cynthia Morazzi."

"Well, Cynthia, it seems like we're going to see each other a lot more often."

"Yes, of course..."

"Cynthia!" Someone interjected. I recognized the voice, it was Idina.

"Hey, Idina, how are you?"

"We're the Big Swans!" She smiled.

"Oh, you're Big Swan 2?" I grinned.

"Yeah!"

"Oh, that's great!"

"I'm so happy that we can dance together." She said.

I spent half an hour talking with Idina and Lawrence. He was British, so at that point, Idina and I were the only ones from another country. Rehearsals were every day, except Sunday, from 9:00 in the morning to 3:00 in the afternoon. After an hour, I decided to head home.
