Captain Levi Ackerman. Humanity's Strongest soldier. He was highly admired and shortly statured, but that never stopped him. For years he lived inside those walls. Not the tangible ones, but the ones he built within himself and around his heart. He wished not to be broken or hurt, but occasionally those walls cracked. They cracked and some times parts of them chipped. He hated it. Absolutely loathed it.
But, sometimes. When only one person was looking. He would let those walls down. He would let them down and pour his poor heart out. A fountain of emotions, too fast and too deep to comprehend by anyone. Except, for Hanji Zoe. Every so often Levi would let down his walls and cry. He'd sob and break down. He'd by angry, sad, glad, and scared. He was in pain. And as a result, it pained her as well.

"Levi." She said, pulling her goggles up and onto her head. "You know it's alright to feel this way."

"I don't care, Shitty Glasses!" He exclaimed, his voice coming out louder and more broken than either of them expected. "I want it to be over! I... I fucking hate this." He dug his nails into his hands, not too deep. But deep enough to draw blood. This would add to the already growing collection of slim, silvery scars on his palms during these "Sessions."

Hanji, though slightly taken aback, held Levi's hand. Firm enough to show him she would be his stability when needed and soft enough for him to know she cares. "I understand, but even so it's normal. It's ok to let go and cry once and a while." She pulled a roll of bandages from her pocket and began to wrap his hand. "You don't have to be so afraid."

Levi gritted his teeth, his voice wavering. "You don't get it. Not the way I want you to at least. I don't like crying Hanji, I just don't. It makes me feel..."

"Weak. Selfish. Broken." She finished. "Levi you're right, I don't understand the way you do but I do understand that keeping it in like that isn't healthy. Besides," She took both of his hands into her slightly smaller ones and squeezed lightly. "I'm here for you, always."

And right then, right there, in that small office. The two of them felt, a little spark. And that spark, was the beginning of the greatest, saddest, and most important journey of their lives.
