"Of course, that was ancient history...this is now." She said making Riley squeal and hug her.

"I'm so happy that you said that." She said with a big smile.

"Yeah but I have to get home." Maya said taking a deep breath and turning around.

"So...I heard about you saying it was okay for Riley and I to date." Lucas said behind Maya as she tried to walk away.

She then then stopped in the process and closed her eyes, "Yeah...it's fine with me." she said.

"Well that's very nice of you, thank you Maya." He said with a smile.

"Of course Lucas." She said making the green eyed boy raise an eyebrow.

"What?" He asked her.

"I said goodbye." She said walking away.

As she walked away she could feel his eyes burn into the back of her head until she was a good distance away.

As soon as she got home she took of her jacket and threw it on the couch falling right next to it. She then grabbed her phone out of her pocket to see if anyone texted her only to see nothing, she sighed and turned on the tv and decided on take out later.

She came in the house bursting not into tears, she couldn't hold it in anymore. She was tired of acting brave but she had too. She had to for her friends, for her best friends sake of happiness, and for her family.
