I wake up in a void of darkness. Everything is pitch black, I cannot see a thing. It is so quiet. I think: "where am I?" There are distant whispers. I walk forward and the floor feels really cold and wet, thick like syrup. Trying not to pay any attention to this, I keep walking. The whispers, they are coming even closer. My heart races and I run as fast as I can, but the voices race after me. I don't know what to do. I stop, looking at the quierest sight. I see my mother, she is holding a knife, lying on her back. Blood drips from the knife and her belly. "Mom, are you.... okay?" I ask, worried. Her voice was soft and innocent. She says "honey, everything is fine. Mommy only wanted you." "What is she talking about," I ask myself. Mom's voice now sounds gruesome, and oddly, as she speaks I can here multiple voices speaking simultaneously. "You will never leave mommy," she said now, angrily. My heart races like a car reaching mach 10 speeds. I try running the other way but the area grew too silent. My room was now visible and I lay on my bed facing the right. "It was just a nightmare," I thought. Although I was only dreaming, the eternal silence took from me my very desire to live. I can hear the whispers again, they were approaching from behind. My heart races like it did in my dream. "Don't look back. Don't look back," I think. The voices sound angry as if they want me to look back. After a while, my room grew uncomfortably silent again. I ask myself "what do I.....?" I froze. Something was behind me. A shadow appeared at the side of my bed. This thing is not human. A jagged hand appears on my side. My eyes widen. I hear a raspy voice behind me, it says "look.... at.... me." My heart feels like it stops. The hand reaches over to my neck. It says again "look.... at.... me." I shut my eyes. I feel my bed move. The thing is now on my bed. I do not have to open my eyes to realize that it is glaring right at me. On my face I feel something. It is the things long hair. I feel a cold breath hitting my face. The thing says "open.... your.... eyes." I keep my eyes shut. We were now face to face. Luckily, I feel my bed move again. The thing left my bed, but it was still present. It crawled under my bed. Tears fall from my eyes. I am so scared. My bedroom door opens. It is mother. She picks me up, takes me into her bedroom and lies me down on her bed. I was so relieved. Mom kisses me on my forehead and we fall fast asleep.
