I wake up in my mother's room the next morning. My pajamas are soaked, my heart feels soar. It is Thursday, and I do not attend school today, mom stays home, too. "M-mom" I struggle to mutter, noticing her leaving the bedroom as the door moves slightly. I can hear the water running from the kitchen sink. I shut my eyes and fall back to sleep. I wake up again and notice that the room is more lit with the sun's rays than it had been a few minutes ago. I struggle to get up and fall to the floor, flat on my back. "I feel so weak." I drag myself a few feet to the doorway and pick myself up. The water is still running in the kitchen. My eyes are shut as I move closer and closer to the kitchen, but I feel a cool moisture meet with the ball of my right foot. I open my eyes and see that the sink is still running. However, this does not consume most of my attention. On my left, I notice my mother standing just a few inches away from me, holding out a pan with a burnt up pancake inside it. "M-mom, are you....." I look up slowly, and I cannot look away from what I am seeing. My mother... her face is almost entirely made up of an inhuman smile, and her eyes feel as if they are piercing through my soul. "MOM, STOP PLEASE!" I begin to tear. "YOU'RE SCARING ME!" The hot pan falls to the wooden floor, but its handle remains in her left hand. My heart feels as if it stopped when with a quick reflex her head quickly leaned forward and with it a loud "CRACK." Her head stares at the pan on the floor for about 2 minutes. It had not been long until she let out this abnormal, bone-chilling shriek. She looks back up at me, but this time it looks as if her jaw is non-existent for the distance between her top and bottom mouth is something of nine inches. I fall to the floor and my surroundings darken as I slowly close my eyes. I am in my room again. Where my mother seemed to have been standing is taken over by a dark figure with white eyes..., piercing through my soul.
