Daddy's Gonna Love You

When the Diamonds Reflect the Moon

"Are you ready?"

"In about ten minutes."

"I'm leaving now."

I hung up the phone and threw it onto my bed. I sat down at my desk and pulled out the ring box from my back pocket. Inside was a beautiful ring, a silver band with one round diamond surrounded by one sapphire on either side. I have been saving up for this for ever and now the night is here. I'm going to ask Daisy, the absolute love of my life, to marry me. My beautiful Daisy.

I walk over to the mirror to make sure i look my best. I'm wearing a black button up shirt with a blue tie and nice jeans with black dress shoes. My naturally black hair was sitting slightly messy and my glasses were spick and span. My sleeve tattoo was slightly showing because i know how much Daisy likes it. Fifteen minutes later and i was in my black SUV driving over to Daisy's house. I got out of the car and walked up to the door with a bouquet of red roses in my hand. I knocked on the door three times and waited. The door opened and there stood Daisy's younger brother Sequoia, in his Pyjamas clutching a teddy bear. He was 4 years old with light brown hair and blue eyes. He looked like Daisy but his hair and eyes were a different colour. I bent down so i was at his level.

"Hey Buddy" I gave him a small hug. "Is Daisy ready yet?"

"I don' shink so."

Just then Regina was at the door looking down at me with this ridiculous smile.

"Hello Aubrey, Daisy is up stairs if you would like to go up. But as for you Mister, its your bedtime."

She was now talking to Sequoia who now looked down at the ground and turned to walk upstairs.

"I can take him up if you would like. I'll let Daisy know I'm here."

"That would be great Aubrey, thanks."

"Come on Buddy!"

I ran to Sequoia and scooped him up and took to the steps two at a time. He looked really light, little and breakable in my large arms and he was clutching his teddy to his chest the whole time, not letting him go.

As we got to the top of the stairs I put him in the bathroom so he could brush his teeth. While he was doing that I went to Daisy's room and polietly knocked on the door.

"Who is it?"

"Aubrey."

"Hey baby! you're early."

"No i'm late. I just wanted to let you know im here and if you don't hurry up Im leaving that beautiful but of yours behind."

"I'm just trying to find the right shoes."

"So I'll let the restaurant know that we will be another hour."

"Haha very funny."

"I'll be back."

"Okay love you."

I walked towards the bathroom as Sequoia came out. I took him into his room and tucked him in, turning on his nightlight and checking the cupboard and under the bed at least twice before he let me leave.

I then went downstairs to talk with Regina while I waited for Daisy.

I just sat there and had a friendly talk before I heard the click of Daisy's heels on the stairs. I turned around as she walked into the room. She was wearing a blue and purple dress which with black heels. Her dark brown hair was curled and clipped back with just a few strands falling over her face, but thankfully not covering her sky blue eyes. Her beautiful dark skin was glowing radiantly. Her lips were a dark shade of purple and her eyes were a smoky eye.

Beautiful. 

We hopped into my car and drove to the restaurant. It was a Japanese place and we went and sat down at our table. I ordered a lychee ice tea and Daisy went with a peach ice tea. The waitress came back a few minutes later and i ordered the large sushi platter for us to share. We were there ffor about two hours before we left. 

I drove towards the coast. Daisy kept asking where we were going but i remained silent. We eventually arrived at the beach. I opened my door and the night air was the most beautiful feeling in the world. I walked around to open Daisy's door but she was already out, unbuckling her shoes. She tossed them into the car and ran to the waters edge. I grabbed the blanket from the back and put my shoes in there too. I ran down after her. I stood back for a while, watching her. She stood with the waves lapping at her feet, breathing deeply. I dropped the blanket and walked up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist. I kissed her neck and she allowed me too. She turned around and our lips locked. Our tongues danced around each other, embracing the warmth. It was the most passionate kiss. I held her close to me while she fisted the collar of my shirt. We broke apart. I reached into my back pocket and pulled out the box. I hid it from her view.

"Daisy, I love you so much." I started talking.

"I want you to know that no one has ever made me feel the way you do. The night we first made love, I knew I would be up with you forever. We lost our virginities to each other. I love you so, so much. And that's why," I got down onto one knee. "I wanna ask you, if you will be my wife."

"Aubrey... Yes!"
