After getting over the fact that we had itchy, irritable collars, we had to get to work. I pulled out the notebook and pencil and starting writing our topic down.

"Michaelis and Faustus, a current rivalry." I spoke as I wrote. "M'kay. What now? You know they're too busy to sit and talk.." I gave a sigh and scratched my head with my pencil eraser.

"That's true... You know what this means." Grace looks at me with that mischievous grin and I grin back. "Spy time."

"Okay. We left them in the study five minutes ago here." I pointed to the study on a makeshift map I made.

"Now it's 6:20 and dinner starts at 7:00. Keeping that in mind, I predict that they should be in the kitchen, here, preparing dinner," Grace concluded as she pointed to the kitchen.

"Then let's sneak." As I finish my sentence, we nodded and went down the stairs towards the kitchen.

At the designated destination, I peaked the door opened just the slightest, not even making a creak, to see the two standing there, cooking dinner like we predicted.

We spoke in hush whispers a few steps away from the door. "You go through the kitchen door and I'll stay here. Record anything useful and we'll meet back up at dinner. If they move and you're helping Ciel, I'll leave a note in the top right cabinet telling you where they went. Also if the dimwit earls call us, make it snappy." I nodded, understanding Grace's orders.

I went out through the front doors when I heard Ciel call for me. Really? Now?

I walked back in, more like ran back in, and went to the study to see Ciel and Alois, still playing that game of chess.

"Master? You call for me?"

"Yes. Could you pick up the piece of paper?" He gestured to a fallen paper on the floor that was in his reach.

I sighed and did as I was told. As I picked it up, I noticed it was a picture of a duck and Alois and the duck was eating him. "Weird and lazy.." I muttered under my breath.

"Is that all, master?" He nodded and I ran out of the room, down the stairs, and out the manor door.

I made it to the back kitchen door and opened it like before, not making a noise and a slight crack, no one was there.

I opened the door wide open and still, no one. "What? I ran all the way here for nothing..." I figured that Grace tailed them so I just had to meet up with her.

Opening the top right cabinet door like we planned, I saw Grace tied up with a gag in her mouth.

"Grace! Are you okay?!" I helped her down, untied her restraints and ripped out the gag.

She coughed up a few pieces of cloth and handed me a note. Well two. On one of the notes it said, "East lawn..?" She looked at me, her eyes moving to the left. I look in her direction to see no one.

"Okay.. You can catch up with me later when you feel better." It was obvious that my dad tied her up because I found a piece of his hair in the ropes.

Making my way to the east lawn, I froze and thought things through. East lawn... I took the note that Grace had and I reviewed it.

The handwriting wasn't small and neat like Grace's, rather larger and rushed. I looked around. I was almost to the east lawn.

I took a few steps, still figuring things out in my head. Grace's eyes moved left. East could be right and west could be left. Maybe that's what she meant!

As I figured this out, I made it to the east lawn. The ground under me was giving in. It was a trap. Freaking demon dads.

I jumped up about five feet, and landed in a tree. Okay I have it now. West lawn.

They were at the west lawn. I made my way there by tree. Jumping from tree to tree was a safer bet than walking.

As I made my way there, I saw Grace through the study window, helping Alois tie his shoe. Lazy brats... She looked my way and quickly looked away. I knew why.

Ciel looked her direction and lucky for me, I was faster. He raised and eyebrow and shrugged it off.

C'mon c'mon. I had to get there before they moved.

Finally at the west lawn, I caught a glimpse of them. Yes! They were cooking outside, probably because they caught Grace spying.

I pulled out my notebook and started writing what they saying. They didn't notice me, yet. I had some decent notes. They read:

1) trying to beat each other in everything, even simple things. Example: who can cook best, pour tea fastest, etc.

2) flick each other with food.

3) talking about Ciel's soul...

Okay three notes isn't that bad. Nothing interesting was happening so I decided to review the stuff Grace gave me.

I took out the notes and put the one about east lawn in my pocket. The second was a bunch of notes, filling up both sides.

I scanned them and noticed that she crammed something at the bottom.

It read:

Don't let them get these.

I was a bit scared now and I crammed it snugly in my collar. It itched a bit but it'll do for now.

I ripped out the paper with my notes and put that in my hair tie that was holding my hair in a ponytail. That'll do.

As I was putting my note pad away, two knives, one silver and one golden, struck it in the middle, pinning it against the tree.

I'm dead.

I looked back at them and they were already on the tree branch, looking at me.

"I do believe you have some notes for us." Claude said with a creepy smile like my dad had on his face.

"Nooo..." I inched back and my back hit the tree and the notepad. They inched forward.

What do I do now? "Allison!" I heard Ciel's voice. "G-gotta go!" I grabbed a knife from the notepad and slashed it at their face. Of course, it didn't hurt them for they dodged it, leaving me time to go to the study.

Thank you Ciel.

"Yes?" I poked my head in the study, panting.

"What time is it?" He asked rather slowly.

The clock was right there. Lazy, lazy, lazy. "Um it is 6:40. Almost dinner time."

"Alright. Carry on." He waved his hand, indicating for me to leave. Tch.

I ran down the halls as fast as I could. Grace had to be better by now right? I caught a glimpse of sliver and gold and neatly dodged it.

The two knives were embedded in the kitchen door. I opened the door, went inside, and slammed it shut.

Grace was there, making dinner for the kids. I walked over and took a whiff of gravy she was making.

"Smells good. Add a dash of salt and it would be perfect." I advised.

She nodded and smiled. "How's the project going?" She asked while throwing in a bit of salt.

"Who knew it'd be so hard?" I sighed and plopped down on a stool at the prep table.

"But don't let them get that piece of paper. I caught them saying something that'd be a great addition to our report." Grace handed me a few boiled potatoes and asked me to slice them.

As I sliced them with expert precision, I had to ask what was 'great addition to the project' was.

"Well, they said-!"

The door burst opened as Grace was about to talk. I fell out of my chair, being caught off guard and Grace jumped a little.

"Evening children."
