"what? seulgi! you can't just do that!"

yeri blinked a few times, trying to process who's voice she was currently hearing.

"no—no, its not that i don't like her, but uh....she's not really comfortable with me—"

she noticed the empty space of the bed beside her and the door was left ajar, indicating that jungkook was probably outside.

"hm, okay. you can take her shopping tomorrow, right?"

yeri sighed, knowing that this conversation was about her. she didn't mean to overhear their little bicker, but it was impossible not to listen since jungkook was practically shouting into the phone.

honestly, yeri wished they wouldn't worry about her, not wanting to burden them even more. they had done so much for her for the past four days, and the petite wondered why they were doing it.

are there really nice people in this world? did something good happen in my past life for me to deserve this? why are they so kind to me?

yeri decided against questioning it, convincing herself that it was her own fate.

yes, she did believe in fate, and destiny and all those fairy tale things, mainly because jieun never wanted to corrupt the younger's mind with hurtful and saddening things, and instead always told her that things like santa claus and toothfairies are real.

"unnie, santa's real, isn't he?" the  little twelve-year old questioned.

"of course he's real yerim, why would you think otherwise?" the older girl softly retorted, stroking the younger's cheek.

"well, you said he brings gifts for the nice and im pretty sure ive been nice this year. i helped the ajumma sell flowers down the street, and i even said sorry to the girl who pushed me down the other day although it wasn't my fault." the younger pouted, crossing her arms, "does santa not like me? am i not nice enough?"

the older female chuckled, picking up the younger who was making grabby hands for her to be carried.
