the same figure watched him as he ate alone.

it's been going on ever since that day..

sometimes he catches glimpses of its reflection on his phone cover,

but he dare not turn around.

-
jungkook chewed his food in utter silence.

why was he so stupid?

it wasn't on purpose though, that he was sure of.

so why?

-

"you're very welcome, jieun"

mixed thoughts ran through their mind.

"wait, no! i—"

"it's alright, jungkook oppa." she assured, as if it wasn't her first time.

"no, i really am-"

"don't worry about it, oppa. it really is fine." she said in a soft voice, and he took the hint that she did not want to talk about this.

yeri on the other hand, was sighing on the inside. she was slightly disappointed.

but what she wanted to know was why.

why was she sad? she had no right to be. she only met him like a week ago, something like this was bound to happen.

and its not like he'd known her for long either.

but the sas truth was, even since young, yeri was always known as jieun's sister, or jieun junior, or even mini jieun. nobody would know her if she wasn't related to jieun.

she had absolutely no right to be angry at him,

so why did she feel her heart sink when he addressed her as jieun?

-

"uh..do you.." he nervously cleared his throat, "do you want more potatoes?"

not daring to meet his eyes, she shook her head, chewing on her juicy stewed pork.

"oh, uh, is there anything else you need?"

still maintaining her gaze on the glass plate in front of her, yeri just shook her head once more.

he nodded at that, not wanting to seem like it was a demand.

which was hard though, because jungkook himself knew, that he always sounded very demanding.

yeri inwardly sighed.

jimin and seulgi couldn't join them today. something about a huge company inviting them for dinner.
