Short red hair fiery to match her personality
Long black braids twisted in her hair
Pressed, curled, permed, red, purple, blue. Queen your crown belongs to you.
Locs hang and swing like long vines from Amazon trees
Natural Afro defying gravity non acquiescing
Make up. Clear. Acne. Scars.
Eyes big and dark full of stars
Down to earth but your head is in the clouds lowkey laid back doing your thing rather than being another robot lost in the crowds
They tell you to get pink but you chose blue act like a lady but what's a lady supposed to do?
Gender expectations and roles got me feeling blue
Downgrade, upgrade, thick, slim, it's inside what's true
Memories of hurt and pain illuminate my mind like the ghost of the past
My beauty defined by how clean my eyebrows look
How dark I am
How generic you are
Baby you're a star
Big white smile, lips so round, skin chocolate brown baby how can I be down?
I define me.
I choose to be free
Authority raises their fists to silence and kill and take and we raise ours for justice and unity
Mind deep in lyrical contemplation
Fuck the system I ain't your slave on your plantation
I refuse to change to meet your standards I live my life with the intention of rebellion
As I break your chains when I go super Saiyan.
