We're prisoners, trapped in the paradoxical institute also known as the public school system.
I don't get how people are content with the injustice and corruption that is our country, we're so complacent we'll keep our mouths shut as long as we get our money
We argue politics but don't vote
We argue police brutality but don't change laws or fight congress
Ain't making any moves but y'all sit there calling yourself goats
So much, so much pressure I put on myself my goals and destination
It's like being lost as sea in a boat wondering will you sink or float
You don't know me yet but just know I'm striving
My work ethic needs no explaining
So if you're tryna sneak diss me stop trying
I don't announce my moves I work in the shadows keep it lowkey then when I'm ready I stunt on these mothafuckers
Cause I don't need social media to fight my battles
Keyboard warriors
Please.
You won't outwork me so maybe you should hustle as hard as you hate
So fucking busy in bringing me down cause you know imma be great
We can change the world but it requires unity
We can't depend on our fucked up system for victory cause they're the ones who oppress us constantly
They kill us and as we scream in anguish they don't listen
They give us cocaine but no medicine
They out is in schools with no education
They put the idea in our heads that everything is alright when it's all just an illusion.
