Chapter 1 : Prologue

Once upon a time, in a land far away there once lived a simple farm girl, a simple merchant and their beautiful daughter, Elena. Elena was a born with a pure heart, always seeing the world in a different perspective to others. They lived what some may call a simple life, Elena's mother working on the farm with the maids and servants, her father travelling to places some could only dream of. Until her mother became ill. Unable to afford the medicine that only people of noble blood could receive, Elena and her father were forced to watch her mother each day become simply nothing but skin and bones. On her last breath however, she told Elena something very special.
"My dearest child Elena." Her mother spoke pulling her crying child closer to her. "Please do not cry, it is simply my time to go. However, you must promise something to me. Even if the world is against you remember to always follow you heart and stay true and loyal to those around. Most importantly, always believe in magic..."
As the women took her last breath, Elena and her father clung onto her frail body, savouring the very last moment they would have with her...
