Ezekiel, is he a friend or a foe? Why didn't he tell me about it?
I accidentally drop the phone. But I remain still in shock.
"Hello? Hello? Leon are you there?" I hear Rica say over the phone, despite it being on the ground.
I pick up the phone, and click end call. "I'm sorry Rica," I whisper to myself. I didn't realize it at first, but some tears actually went down from my cheek.
"Leon, are you okay?" asks Kace. Kace has always been the one that cared about Leon the most, no doubt about it.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I reply with obvious pain in my voice.
"No you're not. Tell us the truth Leon, are you alright?" asks Marielle.
"I'm serious, nothing," I once again try to persuade them that I'm okay.
"Leon, it's okay, you can trust us, right?" says Kace.
Ouch. I can't believe I am about to say this, "No. I'm not okay," tears starts going down my face, "Last night, Rica told me that she likes Ezekiel. Just before I got here, I saw Ezekiel, he told me that he has an important errand to do. I just got a call by Rica, and I found out t-t-that Ezekiel's errand was to visit Rica. He's a traitor."
"What?! Leon, listen up. You, the most optimistic person I know, how can you be so pessimistic now? What happened to the optimistic person that we all once knew and loved?" said Marielle.
*Sniffle* She's right. Before, I can see even the smallest good things in a problem. Now, I lost it. I became pessimistic.
"I-I-I'm sorry guys. Before, I used to tell everyone in need to don't give up no matter what. I am such a hypocrite now. The person that encouraged everyone to go on is the person that nearly gives up on a situation like this. I can rise above this!" I say slowly.
"That's the spirit Leon!" says Marielle.
Then, for the first time, my wish has finally come true; to have a friend that is very caring enough to hug me in times of agony. Both of them gave me a friendly group hug. *Sniffle* "Thanks guys! You're the best friends I can ever have," I say sincerely.
"You're welcome Leon," says Marielle.
"Anything for a friend in need," says Kace
"Thanks once again guys, I'll go home now. I want to be alone," I say with mixed emotions in my voice.
"Sure Leon," says Kace
"Let's video chat later guys!" says Marielle joyfully.
I walk through the school yard, that's odd. There is an unusually high number of people in the school yard.
"Hmm probably another fight," I say to myself softly. This month, there has been a huge increase in fights in the school yard. These guys obviously want to get hurt while wrestling.
But don't get me wrong, I love watching wrestling as much as they do. But, I'm not the one that loves to wrestle. I always love analysing styles and patterns of a certain wrestler when there is an upcoming match.
Moving on, I walk home. It usually takes about 25 minutes to walk home from school. I suddenly get that feeling that I am feeling followed.
I look back, but no one is there; not a single human being or at least an animal.
"Hmmm… that's odd," I say to myself.
I move on like nothing happened.
After about 5 minutes, I get that feeling again. It's bugging me, so I take another look; turning my whole body around.
