"Emerald! What do you think of Max? He's cute, right?" Sapphire asked while twirling her hair. Her cheeks obviously red.
I stared at her.
Noticing the silent response I gave her, she looked at me and gave me a questioning look.
I smirked.
"You like him." I said, more of a statement than a question.
Her face flushed red and she quickly denied.
"W..what are y..you talking a..about? I w..was j..just asking!"
My grin widened.
"Oh really? Your face says the opposite. You look like a tomato right now Ahahaha xD" I laughed while pointing at her.
"I don't l...l..like Max or s..something! Would you w..wipe that smirk on your f..face?!" She exclaimed.
I continued to laugh and tease her more.
"Sapphire likes Max, Sapphire likes Max~!" I sang as I teased her, making her blush furiously.
"Okay, okay! I like him! Now would you just shut up?!" Sapphire said, extremely flustered.
"Don't you dare tell him." She added.
I laughed.
"Promise me!" She exclaimed.
"Haha, alright, alright. I promise! Haha"
"You have to raise your right hand!" Sapphire said, puffing out her cheeks.
I raised my hand.
"I, Emerald Jade Greene, promise to hereby follow what Sapphire Amethyst Greene said, and I wouldn't, in my entire existence, spread my knowledge about Sapphire liking Max Jefferson Collins."
I smirked as I saw Sapphire's face flushed.
"There. Initiation done."
Slowly, her flushed face becomes normal and was changed into disbelief.
Then, she started laughing.
It was my turn for my face to get flushed since my stomach growled out loud, indicating that I am already hungry. I hid my face and hit her playfully in the arm.
"Ahaha okay, okay, stop hitting me, will you?! Ahahaha xD I'll stop now ahaha" She said in between laughs.

I could still remember the moments that we'd both laugh until our stomach would hurt.
Whenever I'm with Sapphire, I never felt sad. I always felt happy being with her. She made me feel as if there's always someone for me if ever I fall. Like there's always someone to support me through the good times and the bad.
I really am blessed to have a sister like her. I wouldn't ask for anyone.
I could still remember the times wherein we'll tease each other over something, then rolling on the floor while laughing so hard.
I could still recognize her delicate and feminine voice. Oh I wish I could actually hear those again.
But.
No.
I won't have the chance to hear her voice singing, nor even hear her calling my name again.
Not when she's in a commatose and hasn't woken up for the last 3 years.
I would often visit her in the private hospital that we placed her in, hoping that one day she'll open her eyes and smile at me once again.
I couldn't stop myself. Tears swell up my face and I bursted out crying on the floor.
"Why do they have to leave? Why do they have to be killed by those unknown people?! Why?!"
I buried my hands on my face.
A sudden knock was heard on my door, and slowly, the door creaked open.
"Emerald?"
In came a tall mascular brunette.
"Are you remembering them again?" He asked.
I nodded, still burying my hands on my face.
He hugged me from behind, and I felt myself stiffen up. Nevertheless, I shifted in a comfortable position and hugged him tightly.
"Hush now, Em. Everything's gonna be alright. You have us. You have me."
He made me face him, breaking from the hug. He wiped the tears that streamed down my face with his fingers.
"Stop crying now Miss Emerald." He smiled.
I crinkled my nose.
"How many times do I have to tell you not to call me 'miss'?" I asked.
"Well..." He scratched the back of his head. "I guess it became a habit."
I smiled and hugged him again.
"Then as your 'miss' I command you to stop calling me that."
I felt him returned the hug.
"Alright. Mi- I mean, Emerald."
I chuckled lightly.
"Thank you Max. Thank you for always being there ever since I came here. Thank you for never leaving me. Thank you for always supporting me. I wouldn't have done everything I did till now if not for you."
"It's always my pleasure, Em."
I smiled and pulled away from him.
"Dinner's ready. Wouldn't want to miss your favorite lasagna, right?"
He smiled.
"Of course I won't. Come on, hurry up Max!" I stood up and ran towards the door. "I'll finish all of it if you won't hurry." I smiled enthusiastically.
He chuckled. "Alright, I'm coming."
Then we made our way towards the dining room and ate.
