I was headed to the park, I figured it would be quite there and I would be able to concentrate on some spells and forget about my dad, Lorenzo and Rain. I got to the park and realized it was two day before the 4th of July, there was people everywhere, setting up booths, and putting together the rides and fireworks display. GRRRRRR I thought to myself, now what? I looked around and found a spot under a huge tree by the river. I walked over sat down and pulled out my journal; it would be my book of spells. I held it close.

My phone started blowing up, uuuuggghhh. It was my mother,declined. I don't want to speak to her right now.

I was so into the spells and writing in my grimoire that I did not notice that it was getting dark. I need to call Rain. I looked down at my phone and my mom had text at least 10 times. Nope, not responding. I need to concentrate on Rain. My stomach was in knots.

I look up and see Rain walking over, cigarette in hand. He sees me and half waves. I smile.
He walks up and grabs me and hugs me. It's not awkward at all; thank goodness I don't have to wipe his memory.
I start to tell him how sorry I am, don't Selina, you were drunk, we all do stupid shit when were drunk, especially little girls who think they are fucking cool. I laugh, Rain have I ever told you how much of an ass you are.

I grab my stuff and start to throw it in my bag, Rain grabs my hand, what is that? He snatches my grandmas spell book.

He bent down and pulled me up from the ground.
