Running. Running so fast I can’t feel the ground racing beneath my sneakers. Faster. Faster than a cheetah, faster than the fastest sports car, that’s how fast I aspire to be. One can only dream.
“SAGE SLOW DOWN!”
Those are the last few words I hear before I die.
Death is a funny word. D-e-a-t-h. Saying it, the first thing that pops into your head is some old guy in a casket, surrounded by crying old people. Morbid isn’t it? And oddly ironic. You can never for sure know when your going to die, but when you know, you know.
“Wake up sweetie, your going to be okay”
“Saaaaaaaaage, Sagiekins open your eyes”
“God is that you?” I said. I slowly opened one eye at a time, to come face to face with the face of evil.
“Ugh,” I sneered in disgust.
“Awe, Sagie that’s no way to be talking to someone who just saved your life,” He jeered laughing hysterically. He being Harry Styles, otherwise known as the insensitive dick-wad, and my brothers best friend. What is he even doing here??? I groaned. I looked around the small hospital room. I saw a doctor in the corner with a smile plastered on his face, Louis my brother along with the rest of my family, and my best friend Blaze.
“Hi guys,” I croaked. I turned to the nurse on my right, he was absolutely breathtaking. He has plump pink lips and a scruffy chin. He looked like Robert Pattinson, and smelled like a greek god. I motioned for him to come closer.
“Can I have a glass of yo- uh, water?”
He smirked then handed me the glass on his left. My mom came then and began placing kisses on my head. My dad had to pry her off of me.
“Oh sweetheart, Im just glad your alright. You hit your head pretty bad back there.”
“You sure did,” my dad added. “ If it wasn’t for Harry, you would have been left back there with a severe concussion, instead of a mild one.”
“Are you sure it wasn’t him who saved my life?” I asked as I looked to the Pattinson look alike. He looked at me apologetically. Louis chuckled.
“So you should, you know, thank him”
“Thank you,” I said the nurse, still caught in my haze. Blaze snickered. Louis rolled his eyes.
“SAGE”
“Ok fine. Thank you Harry for ripping me out of the claws of sudden death, thank you for this life, these trees outside, the oxygen in the air, and most of all thank you for ending world peace.”
He smirked. “Atta-girl. And your so very welcome princess”
“Don’t fucking call me princess you jack-ass,” I muttered so that only Harry could hear.
He chuckled. Blaze got up and stretched.
“Yawn. Im gonna go get something to eat at the café, Harry do you want to come with me?”
Harry glance in her direction, then back at me. I stuck my tounge out at him, he rolled his eyes at me then left with Blaze and Louis, much to Blaze’s dismay. You see, Blaze has had a crush on Harry for the longest time now, im hoping its just a momentary case of insanity seeing as how Harry is incapable of holding anything other than his huge ego. She just loves everything about him. It must be his charming personality. But just as she can love him.. I cant hate him. Well, hate is such a strong word. Let me rephrase that. I DESPISE Harry Styles. It goes deeper than some petty dislike for him just because we have the same Pink Floyd shirt. This is deep rooted and its honestly all of his fault. All of it. All of which, Louis nor Blaze know anything about. They just know I really don’t like this kid. See there are two sides to every story, but in this case, and im sure even Louis will side me on this one, my story is accurate. Three years ago, me and Harry were together. Like TOGETHER together. We were inseparable, always doing everything together. It was easy because he was popular and I was.. well not. Its like this, Harry and I are interested in the same things, its just my interests are more out in the open than his are. He’s popular because he follows the quota of being a natural prick. And I.. don’t even try to pretend I give a shit about what your saying. That’s how me and Blaze became best friends, shes like the other half of me. Anyway, back to Harry. We were together, he changed me. I started dressing the way he wanted me to, acting the way I should around his friends, I began to feel accepted. Up until I found out the truth. That I was just a 50$ bet to him. Which he won. When I found out I screamed profanities at him, pushed him, swore id never trust him again. He seemed sorry about it. Saying that was before he fell in love with me blah blah blah. I ran home crying, and got worse. A month later we moved to Europe, and two months ago we moved back. Oh joy.
