I stumbled back. Shocked. I couldn't believe it and it looked as though he felt the same

Gasps were heard from all around us as the room was filled with males. I was confused; i didn't know what to do and so did the worst thing known to human kind.

"hi" i said whilst awkwardly waving my hand.

What is wrong with me- that was the most stupid thing to do. I now felt extremely embarrassed as i looked down, flustered.

fortunately he seemed to not hear my shameful moment and started to look me up and down before letting out a furious growl.

I was now shaking as his voice frightened me. What was that for, i thought inwardly.

"Get her some trousers!" he ushered one of the men. The man was frozen in place, still not recovered from the shock. "NOW!" the Alpha King commanded.

I looked down, now just remembering my clothing. The white shirt had risen up a little. I looked around the room to face men filled with lustful looks. My face turned beet red as i was not used to all the attention.

The man before came towards me, passing me a pair of jeans.

"Please follow me" he said, slightly frightened.
I looked back at my "mate" who hadn't taken his eyes of me. He looked surprised, as if he thought i was some kind of new creature. Something he believed to have never existed.

For some reason i felt hurt- he hadn't even spoken to me yet. Was he going to reject me? It felt like it. He was the most feared man in the world so why wouldn't he. He was a monster.

I refused to let a tear slip out as the man led me into a room right near my mates office. I walked inside and quickly slid into the blue jeans. They seemed to be quite baggy as my feet had now disappeared.

I walked out and slowly made my way to the office. Confidently, i walked in, expecting to see my mate. However he was nowhere to be seen.

Now i was more than hurt. Did he just leave me? Unbelievable.

The man that i now knew was not the Alpha, came up to me however his expression had completely changed. Before it was hard, cold and unreadable but now it seemed a bit soft. I was totally confused as i gave him the most shocked look i could muster.
He noticed but chose to ignore it.

"Hello, i am the beta of the pack. Its nice to meet you my lady" he said. 

Oh! so he was the Beta. i must say i'm surprised as he himself seems more than capable of being an Alpha. Well obviously, i mean what do you expect from the Alpha Kings Beta.

" Please, call me Marina" i replied, not really sure on what else to say.

"well, Ms Marina please follow me" he replied back and i obeyed.
