Sitting in the front seat of my dad's jeep and looking out the window to see my mom being hauled into an ambulance made my stomache churn.
I had called dad and spilled everything. All the secrets. All the abuse. What mom had just done. It just all came out. Next thing I knew, dad was at the front door with an ambulance and I worried look on his face.
Now, I'm in his jeep with my sleeping brother in the back seat and all our clothes in suitcases. Dad said that he is taking us with him andthat mom is being admitted into rehab. This isn't the first time that mom is going there.
When I was six, mom went crazy. Dad and her were having an argument, a really bad one and later that night dad found her in the bathroom with a bottle of vodka and a container of pills.
She had tried to commit suicide.
After her first time in rehab, she came back with her old sweet sober self and we thought that she would stay this way. We were wrong.
"Sofia, I'm so sorry. If I had known that she was still doing these things I wouls have hotten you guys ou of there." Dad said as he sat down in the driver's seat. He had an angry but worried expression on hia face.
"I should have told you earlier, but I was afraid of what mom would do to me or Jax." I said looking out the window and he started his jeep. I don't want dad to think that it was his fault. I should have said something but I was afraid.
"Well you don't have to worry about anything bad happening to you or Jax." I didn't say anything back to him. There was nothing to say and somehow I started to drift of to sleep
"You're such a stupid child. I can't believe I ever gave birth to a disgrace like you." Mom spat at four year old Jax. He was crying quietly as ahe glared at him.
Mom had asked him to carry her last wine bottle over to her. I was upstairs when I heard the crash of the glass on yhe floor.
I had ran down the rickety stairs and into the living room to see mom slap him in the face. Glass was scattered everywhere.
The echo of the slap rang through out the house and I felt a sudden surge of anger. "How could you slap him? What the heck is wrong with you?" And once those words came out of my mouth, I regreted it instantly.
She stalked over to me and I stood frozen in place. Once she arrived fqce to face with me, I was shoved hard into the wall and i let out a scream of pain and soon the place started to feel dizzy-
"Sofia. Wake up!" I woke up and looked at the worried face of my father. "You were screaming. Are you okay?"
Oh. It was just a dream, but I knew it was a memory of a few months ago.
"I'm fine." I said. He seemed to not believe me but brushed it off
"We are here. I know you guys have never been here before since I had just bought it two months ago. " I got out the jeep and looked up to have my jaw drop in awe.
"YOUR HOUSE IS HUGE!!" I exclaimed looking at the huge house that literally looked like a mansion.
My sudden outburst made dad chuckle as he lifted Jax's sleeping body out of the back seat. "Yeah, my job pays well." Well? You mean fantastically.
After opening the front door and putting both Jax and I's suitcases at the door way, I looked around the house. It might be in the middle of the night but I can't help but gawh at how amazing his house looked.
He showed me to my new room after putting Jax in his new room. It was a nice sized room with white walls, a queen sized bed, a flat screen television and a conjoined bathroom and closet.
"It doesn't have much but you can fill it up with whatever you want. I can also carry you to some places to get stuff." I turned to dad and gave him a hug.
He shortly left me in the room so that I can settle in. I opened my laptop and went on YouTube. I wanted to see how my video was doing.
Once I looked at the video, I was shocked. 10,237 views. How? I lookwd at the subscribers and was equally as shocked. 1,590 subscribers.
I heard a ping go off on my phone. It was a message from Amy.
"By the way, I used my twitter, instagram and snapchat to get your video some views and some subscribers ;) Your welcome." I read and rolled my eyed with a smile on my face.
I literally can't woth this girl. I guess that is what happens when you are best friends with an Internet aholic.
