The Steven Universe fandom is slowly dying due to all of these hiatuses.
Really, how do you expect a show's fanbase to prosper if the show just has random bursts of new entertainment for a week then promptly disappears for three months?
I don't know who's controlling these hiatuses but I hope they open their eyes and see that they're personally driving a stake deeper into the SU fanbase with each long lived hiatus. The real question is, when will it be too far?
When will the camel's back finally break and ratings descend back to the deep abyss from which they came? When will excitement and love for the characters plummet? When will this show just be another show on Cartoon Network that got dealt the bad side of the deck? I've said this once before but I'll say it again, this show is quickly becoming like Ninjago. Meaning, it shows exclusively new episodes for a week and disappears for months. Soon it will be even more like Ninjago and not even show reruns. You can already see that's taking place since they decide to not show reruns daily and instead confine them to just Sundays. Soon Steven Universe's fandom is going to be like the Ninjago fandom. Hype for that one week but dead for three months or more, oh wait, we already are like that.
I'm going to be honest with you all, I've really started to lose interest in SU. That's why I haven't done much on my SU stories anymore. I feel so cut off from the characters that I can't even try to write about how they are.
Since the show must have episodes in advance, (i.e. The leaked episodes) why haven't they decided to show any? What have they been doing for these long months? And when it finally comes back with yet another Steven Bomb, how long will the next hiatus after be?
