She grabbed her phone and clicked on Kyle's notification.
"It's okay babe. I love you <3" -Kyle
"I love you too. Can I talk to you really quick? It's really important.."-Brooklyn
"Of course! What's up?"-Kyle
"Well..uh.. I'm a bit scared to tell you.. If I tell you, I'm scared you'll leave me.." -Brooklyn
"I'd never leave my princess! I love you and nothing can change that. I promise what ever you have to tell me, won't make me leave you. Now tell me."-Kyle
"Okay. So.. I'm depressed and I always have been. My dad is an alcoholic, my parents fight and my brother abuses me. Lately I've been getting sticky notes in my locker saying stuff such as "Kill yourself" and other stuff. And well.. Today I slit my wrist for the first time.. I can't stop crying right now, I'm so sorry Kyle."-Brooklyn
Kyle read her message and immediately broke into tears. It took him a minute to reply.
"Babe, oh my god! I'm in tears just thinking about that! With the whole family problem, you must tell someone. With the sticky notes you must tell someone. And please, PLEASE never cut again! Oh my god, I can't stop crying..."-Kyle
"I'm so so sorry Kyle!"-Brooklyn
"It's okay Brooklyn. Just never cut again. I love you."-Kyle
"I love you too." -Brooklyn
She finished crying and put her phone away. She cleaned her wrist and laid in bed. She heard the door open. Her brother was home. "Fuck" she whispered to herself. She heard him talk for a minute then he went to his room. "Thank God." Her father came home not shortly after and the screaming between him and his mother began. He came home drunk again. Brooklyn grabbed her headphones and turned on her music as loud as it would go. She sighed as she sat in the dark. Moments later, her door opened. It was her brother.
