Wally's P.O.V.

It's all my fault.

I couldn't save her.

I should've been there.

All I could think about was the last thing I said to her. My green eyes stayed glued to our hands, mine was laced in hers, I was giving slight squeezes from time to time. She was neatly tucked into a hospital bed, still in the same position she was for the past 4 months. How could I let this happen? It's all my fault? Ugh! I have super human speed and I still can't save anyone!

I felt my eyes begin to burn as I squeezed her hand even tighter. Only glancing away to check signs of her heart beat, it was quite a low rate, but she was alive for sure. My grip on her hand loosened, I glided my thumb over her knuckles, a sigh escaped my lips.

"I wish you'd wake up already..." I murmured, "You don't have to even talk to me...I know your probably still mad at me for ditching you...I probably brought out 'Ms.Snappy," I let out a small chuckle to myself, thinking back to how she used to get so mad at me. Man, I missed her. My small smile dissipated, be replace by a saddened frown, she looked so at peace that it was scary. I couldn't help but think negatively about the way she looked, It's like she was on her death bed. Her long, dirty blonde hair was splayed out on the pillow she rested her head on.

"If you can hear me...know that--" A sudden, yet quivering, voice interrupted mine, "Is she ok?" It was Violet's mother. I perked up, swiveling my head over to get a look at her. She looked a mess, tears were dried on her face, she had wad of napkins balled in her hand and tear stains on her shirt. A sent her a wavering, sympathetic smile, "Still the same." I answered.

Her mom shot me a smile back as well, I knew the truth behind it though, she was faking it. Violet has been in a coma for over 4 months and I'm still not over it! Even if I knew the truth, I wasn't gonna tell her I knew. My grip on Violet's hand loosened as I stood up, letting it go was kinda hard for me, but I managed. As soon as I stood her mom took my place in the chair I walked away from. My eyes stayed glued to Violet though, I've been here for at least 4 hours maybe. I'm tired, yeah, but I wasn't gonna just not stay at her side.

"You should go home, Wally, I bet your moms worried sick about where you are." Ms.Jackson told me, her eyes not wavering from her daughter.

"Right. Can come back tomorrow maybe?" I asked, glancing at the women before staring right back at Violet. Ms.Jackson nodded and shot me a small smile, I nodded to her and went to get my backpack from the side of the door. That's when Violet's little brother had poked his little head through the door to see me, a frown on his face.

"Your leaving already?" He asked me as I put on one backpack strap. I shot him a small smile, I kneeled down on one knee and put my hand on the boys shoulder.

"I promise I'll be back, Henry, don't worry, but for now," my eyes tracked back to where Ms.Jackson sat holding onto Violet's hand, "watch out for your mother and be a real trooper while I'm gone." I spoke up in addition. My gaze went back to his, a smile etched on his lips, he nodded and made his way over to his mom. I got back up to two legs and sighed, brushing though the hospital door and walking down the hallway.
