Chapter 3Waking up to the smell of breakfast is always the best, especially when I'm not the one making it. That's not what woke me up, but Cameron Dallas is, can you imagine waking up to a brown-eyed boy with a wide smile? I can, it's bright, my God is his smile bright I had to squint so my eyes wouldn't burn off.
"Alright sunshine, back off." I chuckled shoving him off a little.
"Mrs. Cooper said to be down in 20 minutes and that breakfast was ready."
I laughed to myself thinking that he would be beheaded if my mom heard him call her Mrs. Cooper. Yesterday's events came back to me and I was still waiting for the panicking to settle in, but it didn't, something I should be worried about, but I wasn't and that terrified me.
The thing I have always thought about life, is that it keeps going. It doesn't stop when you're drowning, or when someone's dying. Doesn't stop to go back in time and fix your mistakes, it just goes and leaves you behind if you're not fast enough. I don't know how many times I've had to get up because life wasn't being fair. It angers me to no end because we're selfish and we hurt people, sometimes it's good to be selfish, but selfish enough not to leave yourself in the dirt, cause if you give too much you're left with nothing but dust and air.
I looked at the clock to see it said 10:35. I had to be down by 10:55, but that was okay since I washed my hair yesterday, the showering process was less time consuming and I was out in no time.
I comb my hair to put it in a high pony tail.
It wasn't too cold outside, but not too hot either so I wore my favorite pair of black jeans, with my black and white Adidas shirt, after putting my black ankle boots on, I grabbed my money and leather jacket and went downstairs.
I found a table full of breakfast and in that moment my stomach grumbled.
"I see you're ready for breakfast."
I look to my left to see my dad chuckling he flicked my ponytail.
"Morning dad, how'd you sleep?" I asked giving him a kiss in the cheek.
I saw mom in the dining area with Cameron, Hayes and Nash who looked up when I walked in.
Giving everyone a hug and kisses on the cheek, I sat down besides dad and Hayes.
"I slept just fine, how about you, any problems with nightmares last night?"
I almost choked on my drink as Hayes looked at me in understanding, mom and dad looked at me questionably, Cam and Nash looked at me in curiosity and confusion.
"No dad, no nightmares." I sighed returning to my waffles.
"Good, I'm happy to hear my girl hasn't been having any nightmare. Three nights in a row!"
I rolled my eyes and looked at mom, she gave me a smile, a sign she was happy to hear this, although I don't understand why they would be worrying over this, when it was clear we has bigger problems.
This conversation was going no where, I picked up my plate and finished.
"Nash when you're done meet me at the car, we have a lot of shopping to do."
He quickly got up. "I'm driving by the way, we're taking Cam's car too by the way.
I shrugged. "I figured as much."
"Ok- wait! What?"
We both ran out the door before Cameron could stop, getting in the car and putting my seat belt on.
