A/N Okay so this is the alternative ending. It starts after Theodosia says, "Philip, I love you,"

"Philip! Philip just stay alive! Stay alive for me!" I pleaded. I kissed his forehead as he counted in french with his mother. "Philip, I love you."

Philip looked into my eyes. He grabbed my hand.

"How could I ever leave you Theo?" he said weakly.

"Philip just stay with me okay just stay with me," I said. Alexander came over to me.

"He should be fine. They just need to keep him overnight. Wait, you're Aaron Burr's daughter,"

"Yes sir. Theodosia Burr," I said curtsying.

"You certainly show more manners than your father," Alexander muttered under his breath. Eliza hit him and then turned back to me.

"Well you look just like your mother. She was always so sweet," she said.

"Are we just going to ignore me?" Philip shouted. We all laughed and continued joking until visiting hours were over.

"I'll see you tomorrow Philip," I said as I held his hand.

"See you then Theo," he replied.

"Don't call me Theo,"

"I think it suits you,"

"Fine then...Phil,"

"No that just sounds bad,"

"If you call me Theo then you will be called Phil. No exceptions,"

"But-"

"No exceptions Philip. I mean, Phil,"

"Okay Theo. I'll see you tomorrow morning,"

"See you tomorrow," I said. I walked out of the hospital with a huge smile on my face.

I walked home to find my father in the living room reading the paper.

"Where were you today Theodosia?" he asked. Oh god.

"Um, I was helping Mrs. Hamilton with her house work. You know with her children and what happened to Alexander it's been very hard on her," I replied, thinking this was a passable lie. I was wrong.

"Really. And are you aware that Mrs. Hamilton was not at home today?"

"Oh really? I could've sworn she was,"

"Where were you today Theodosia?"

"I was in Jersey,"

"What! What were you doing in Jersey?"

"There was a duel and someone I knew got hurt,"

"Was it Philip," he asked. Oh god.

"Um, yes-"

"Theodosia! That boy is a scoundrel like his father! I will not permit you to see him!"

I said nothing. With a tears in my eyes I walked up to my room and packed a bag. I would sleep here tonight and then run away with Philip tomorrow. Even though it pained me, my father would never agree to me seeing Philip.

The next morning I woke up at 4:00, long before my father would. I walked to the hospital to get Philip.

"Hey Theo," he greeted.

"Good morning Philip. Let's go on an adventure,"

Philip shot up in bed. We ran out of the hospital and called a carriage to take us to the Hamilton household.

"Theodosia, are we running away?" he asked.

"I suppose,"

"Great!" he said happily. He kissed me once the carriage stopped at his house. "We'll be back, just give us a few minutes."

The carriage driver nodded and we walked into his home. He went straight to his room to pack.

"Oh hello Theodosia," said Eliza who was reading in the living room.

"Good morning Mrs. Hamilton,"

"And where are you and Philip going?"

"Um-"

"Hey mother! We're going to go check out some places," Philip interrupted.

"Okay, well have fun," she replied. She seemed more tired than she was when I first met her. I was 9. She and Alexander were happily married, an adorable couple. That same year, Alexander cheated on her with Maria Reynolds and then published it. You should have seen my father's face! I had to stop him from hanging a copy on the wall.

We walked out of the house and got in the carriage. We drove out of Harlem where the Hamiltons lived and into the heart of New York City. It was beautiful. Philip said that someone owed him a house. Yes, a whole house. I didn't ask.

A few months after we moved in, the Hamiltons found us. They told us that they were disappointed in us but understood why we had to leave. They also said that my father was particularly upset that I left him. Serves him right for judging a whole family based on the views of one member alone.

After that, Philip and I got married. We had children, Lafayette, Hercules, Peggy, Eliza, George, Renee, and Anthony. We lived long and our love for eachother lived on, even after death.

A/N I feel the end was rushed but I didn't want everyone to cry so I made a version of them living! I hope you enjoyed and please don't forget to vote and comment! Thank you guys so much!
