Jessica marched into the class and found her seat with good time. She wasn't used to being earlier but she had promise that this was the year to make a difference and she knew she could use the extra time to catch up with friends she hadn't seen in awhile since seats were assigned. There was no sign of her usual duo, they must be running late she thought to herself as she unzipped her navy backpack and started placing stationary on the table ahead.
"Morning Jessica!" She knew that voice all too well it was Scott her occasional study partner. The only one who called her by her full name. He was never a big talker kept to himself and focused on work inside and out of school. It was unusual for him to greet her first.
She looked up and there eyes met for a moment. A moment that felt like forever. Her surroundings disappearing all she saw was him. Unable to speak hundreds of questions came into her head.
How could he have changed so much and why is this the first time she has ever truly notice him. Somehow the summer had changed everything.
She never noticed how the blues in his eyes were deep like the bottom of the ocean. Dark but when the ray of light hit his face they became a royal blue. Mesmerising and enchanting she couldn't help but look more.
She never noticed the odd occasional freckle on his face that sculpted his masculine jawline. Judging by his appearance he had been working out, his black t-shirt hung tightly on his body revealing his newly sculpted biceps and toned pecks. He looked good, too good.
This was the nerdy boy the one everyone made fun of but somehow things had changed he had evolved. It wasn't just his appearance which was different it was his ora. His shy persona seemed to have drifted away. He looked confident but had a hint of mystery to him. Where had the geeky guy gone? What has he been up to this summer? Two girls in the back of the class seemed to notice too giggling and whispering to each other whilst exchanging looks back and forth.
Jessica felt the over bearing sensation of want. She wanted to know him. Just as she was going to reply a loud noise interrupted her breaking the daze, it was the bell.
"Good morning class! I'm sure you all had lovely summers. And you can tell us all about it in a written report due this Friday!" Mrs Parker said in an unenthusiastic voice.
The moans of the class were echoing across the classroom. When two familiar faces walked in without a care in the world.
"Ali and Megan You are late to the office, NOW!"Mrs Parker Screamed.
There was the duo!
