Evan's POV
"Hey, can you stop following me? Sa totoo lang nakakairita ka na." I said half frustrated to this irritating so called angel behind me.
Daig pa mga bodyguards kung makabuntot!
"S-sorry... Hindi ko pa k-kasi alam ang way papuntang school niyo. Kaka-transfer ko lang." mahinhin niyang sabi.
I forgot, she’s a newbie here. I sighed.
Hold your temper man. I told to myself.
Tssk. Kung di dahil lang sa pakiusap ng mga magulang ko di ko 'to aalagaan. Naaalala ko pa nung una ko siyang nakilala dahil inuwi siya ni Mom at Dad.
Flashback
Kakagaling ko lang galing sa isang bar dahil nagkayayaan kaming magbabarkada.Medyo nagulat pa ako kasi pagkauwi ko naabutan ko ang mga magulang ko sa sala.
"Hey, Mom. Dad. What's happening and... who's she?" I asked them habang nakatingin sa babaeng nakaupo ngayon sa sala, mukha silang problemado.
"Son, this is Sofia Einjellaine Merced." Wow, her name suits her pretty face.
"She's the daughter of our business partner. They just died recently, so were going to take care of her from now on." sabi ni Dad.
How bad, she's an orphan now.
"What about her brothers? Sisters? Relatives? Wala siya non?" I asked sarcastically, really.
Hindi sila nakaimik.
Why, may problema ba sa tanong ko?
"She has a brother and relatives too. Kaya lang we can’t give her to them.” Sabi ni mom.
May kapatid pala ‘to at mga kamag-anak eh, why bother taking care of her?
“She’s in danger, we can’t risk her life.” Paliwanag naman ni dad.
“They want me dead.” Napatigil ako at napatitig sa babaeng nasa harap ko.
She has an angelic face; I didn’t know her voice too.
And who wouldn’t want her as part of the family? They’ll be very lucky to have her.
“Why?” I asked her out of curiosity.
“Ayaw nila sakin, and gusto nilang angkinin ang mga properties na iniwan ng mga magulang ko sa akin.” She explained almost teary eyed.
“How about your brother? Don’t tell me, he wants you dead too?” I asked.
She avoided my gaze and bowed her head.
