Hello my little bookworms! First of all if anyone trys to steal my story or plot I will make things very difficult for them and would appreciate if anyone found any copying elsewhere if they would report it to me or Wattpad so the problem is solved! Second, I'm only fourteen and this is my first book ever so I would LOVE feedback and to hear any suggestions. Lastly I hope you really enjoy my story and want to come back more. I will update as often as possible and at the end of the story would love to hear an answer to my "Chapterly Quention"! Happy Reading!

Chapter 1: Smitten

 “I am not!”

“You so are!” I had completely had it with this terror of a sister and I was about to snap from her malicious grin. “Janicey’s in love, Janicey’s in love!” she sung tauntingly.

“No way!” Lana just stuck her tongue out at my remark and sung that taunting love song you sing when you’re like seven “Janicey and someone sitting in the tree K-I-S...”.

Okay, pause and re-wind. The new boy at school, and before you yell ‘corny!’ I’d like to tell you he’s uber cute, sandy hair, Hollywood teeth, sapphire eyes, Argh! You got me off track! Anyway, he’s in practically all of my classes and was forced to sit next to the geeky turns kid - me. Awkward as it was, we got talking and turns out he lives just down the road from me and asked if I wanted to walk home with him. But, ruin the moment much, Lana – my deadly annoying little sister, saw us walking and hasn’t stopped teasing me since!

“Ugh, what would you know you’re only, what, ten?”

 “Turning eleven!”

 “In August!”

“You’re in way over your head anyway, he would much rather date Nancy Earl!”

“I’m gonna kill you Lana!” And not just for including my blonde wadded arch-nemesis, I added in my head.

“What is going on in here?” Uh oh. Mum doesn’t sound too happy.

 “Janicey’s in love, that’s what!”

“Janicey Grace Turns! What have I told you about boys?”

“I am not in love! I was just walking home with Coyren!” Oops, yelling at mum, not a smooth move. “I mean, uh, he’s just a friend mum.” She just balked at me.

“Who’s Coyren?” She asked in a stern voice.

“Ugh, just a new boy in my class. He sat next to me in double chemistry today and we got talking.” I stumbled on, “Turns out he lives down our street.” I finished feebly.

“Hmm?” Mum said and I nodded to imply I was finished. “So, is he cute?” Mum said with a wide grin on her face.

“Mother!” I groaned, I couldn’t believe she just asked me that, when she usually says I’m not to go anywhere near boys, never mind think they’re cute.

“What?! I was just asking, your old mum can’t read ‘em as good as she used to!” Ew, gross, mum talking about guys.

I felt my cheeks considerably redden. Feeling like mum had popped the Million dollar question, I decided to use my call a friend, and went to my bedroom to ring Vasilia my best friend since pre-school. Sadly her parents inherited a heap of money and put her into private schooling, so we only got to call or see each other on weekends.

“What’s up chicka? Little sister put hydrogen peroxide in your shampoo again?” I shuddered at the thought of my waist length hair turning blonde again.

“No she keeps teasing me about this guy saying I like him and all.”

“Oh, who? Is it that Josephs kid that you kept denying in year five? Is he finally cute now that he got his braces off and doesn’t like you anymore?”
