Chapter 2: Shifting Prospective
“Ah, my sweet Lucia. I’ve finally got you where I need you. I can’t wait for my drones to bring you to my clutches.” The man cooed. Now that this time I'm not freaking out I had a better look at him. His skin wasn’t just pale but a light shade of green. His eyes where jet black and he had claws rather than nails. But what irked me most where the pointy ears and gossamer wings both sticking up high above his head. “See you soon Lucia”

“Lana out of my room.” I mumbled at the constant shuffling and murmuring of my bratty little sister. “Lana! I mean it! OUT!” I yelled as I opened my eyes.
Oh-my-god! I was outside! Oh-my-god! I was laid in the grass of a meadow.
It smelled like spring time, and I could hear a creek in the distance. But that wasn’t all I could hear, I could hear the warble of magpies and the breeze through the trees. The sounds of frogs croaking and crickets chirping. But again, that wasn’t it. I could hear a signet seeds whirling down to Earth, and a lady bugs wings beating, only to stop landing on a leaf and stomping down the stem. It was like I had super-sonic hearing! Heck! It was like I had super-sonic everything!
I could see every fibre of every leaf on every tree. The tiniest of breezes were making my hairs stand on end. I twirled indulging in everything around me.
Someone was watching me. As I twirled around I saw a green skinned boy with sapphire eyes. Wow! The eyes might stand out but they wear nothing compared to the bright blue, gossamer wings behind him. Oh! Those wings and pointy ears! They stood out a mile! He looked like something out of Lana’s story books!
I froze. I’d seen those eyes before. “Coyren?” He just stared back bewildered. “What?! No! What are you?!” I yelled at him.
He seemed to find his voice then and to my surprise he yelled back at me, “What?! What am i> It seems I’m Not the only one that’s played into someone’s hands spraten!” He spat the last word like it was venom in his mouth.
“What did you call me?” I whispered back, with too much rage to speak properly.
“Spraten! Lider! Shifter fey!” I slapped him and convulsively started giggling uncontrollably. What was wrong with me? I just slapped a to die for handsome boy and laughed!
To my surprise, he smiled, walked forward and slung me over his shoulder! “Argh! What are you doing?! Argh!” I screamed. All I could do was scream and kick.
“Quiet! Do you want the whole forest to hear our shouting match?”
“By matter of fact yes!” I screamed in defiance and kicked some more, “Let me go!” He did. I landed on the ground with a thump. “What was that for?!”
“You asked for it.” He smirked at me making his face light up and his eyes stand out. Argh! He lied to me I shouldn’t be swooning at him! “Now are you quite finished with the screaming? Because if you’re not then allow me to leave so that I don’t get eaten as well when something hears you and comes looking for a snack.”
“Right. Are you delusional? Nothing’s going to eat us here it’s so peaceful and nice! So where is here anyway? Are we still in America?” Well that was stupid at me considering he just laughed! Of course we were still in America, where else would we be?!” Apprehension dawned on his face.
“Ha! So you don’t even know? We are in Tasisia Forest in Feraria. Or in your case, the magical forest in fairy land!”
“Okay. Now you’re pulling my leg Coy.” It came out as a weak mumble but she believed him and he knew it.
