My favorite part is 'showing' off Chief to the people I ride with and colleges, and people in the Olympics. When I take him to shows he acts like a different horse, which is common for horses. They know in their tiny minds they need to act perfect. People at shows, they change too. I get snappy and hateful because I'm getting bossed around. I hate being told what to do with MY horse. I know what is best more than other people. If you have not ridden my horse you don't understand what I go through with him. He is hard-headed, stubborn, smart, tricky, and loving. He is just like me! It is best to find a horse that matches your personality, if you don't there will be a lot of hitting the ground for you. I have fallen off Cheif before, but go back on and kept riding if I wasn't hurt. He has hurt my leg, knee, wrist, and my elbow , oh and my rib cage from me falling off. People even fall off at shows but not as much as at the barn. I ride my friends barrel horse bareback and jumped her and re-sprained my wrist. But I got back on and tried again. The best thing to do when you fall off is to get back on, if you can. If you do this you won't be as scared getting on the next time.
