Well, this lesson was a very special one so to say. I could tell that he was antsy when I pulled him out of the pasture. It took me 5 extra minutes to tack him up. I tried to mount him and he started walking off. I had to get my mom, who is scared of horses, to hold him. Which on my end didn't help. So I took him to the gate of the pasture and got on him there. Once on him, I took him to the arena. He didn't want to leave his 'ladies'. Nalah and Trona are his buddies in the pasture. We took the trail instead of the road. Safer and faster. In the arena, I lunged him in the round pin for a good 15 minutes. When I got done lunging him, Marvin pulled up. I had jumped a little before he pulled up. Which was probably a bad idea, looking back now.
The lesson started and Chief was doing great! But then we started working on circles. He was fine in the beginning but then started to tense up in the one corner by the gate. After about one time around, he bucked in that corner. I didn't fall off just got mad and carried on with the circle. He bucked again when I asked for the canter. I didn't fall off. Then he thought it would be a good idea to give me a big buck and then kick out. I went up and then down. I hurt my leg but then Marvin got on and showed me how to stay on when he does that.
