----Desai Evans----
I hate talking to my parents, they never want to try to make my life any better. I have told them about the constant questions I get from Stiles, Scott and Isaac but they just seem to be considered about themselves. I decided not to tell them about Derek at all, they would tell me to stay away from him which I am not going to do. I was listening to their conversation at cross country practice today, I never really thought of myself joining a pack.
"This could be good for her." My mother says "Its not like she isn't telling me people that wouldn't understand."
"I'm not saying that they are not going to understand, I am saying they might judge we are." My father says.
"Yes but you don't know that."
"And we never will or just for the moment. I've figure out if there is danger here for me and Desai's sake. Until one of us know or she tells us something we will be living the way we were before."
"You should really start letting her make her own decisions." Mother says.
"She is only seventeen, she has one more year until she can make decisions for herself but as long as she is here we think for her."
"You are unbelievable."
I shake my head taking myself out of their conversation. No matter how quiet they try to speak I can always hear them, I just make them believe that I am not listening to them. My father controls this whole family, everything we can say or do is all up to me him and whatever he doesn't like goes. He says that it is all for our safely but if you ask me it is a load of crap. And my mother is no angel either, sometimes I think she'd turn against us but you never know with her. She is unpredictable, more than someone should be but considering what she does it's not shocking.
"Can I come in?" Ashton asks.
"Yeah."
"So, what's new?"
He comes in then closes the door behind me, he sits down on my bed in front of me and clears his throat. Ashton and I mouth conversations to each other because we know Dad is listening to us most of the time.
"Do you really think that there are others?" He mouths.
I nod "From what I can sense it is about four that I know of and one that doesn't go to the school."
"If I were you I would tell them, this could me a once in a life time thing."
"I plan on telling them, I just need to figure out a few things first." I pause "One of them said that it was dangerous for me to be keeping, it a secret."
"What does that mean?" He questions.
I shrug my shoulder, Ashton is the only one I can talk to in this house and actually have him listen to me. That is because he cares about my feelings just like I care about his unlike our selfish parents who would rather listen to a cat moan than us.
"Desai, could you come down here, please?" My Mother calls.
"Coming!" I yell, getting out of bed.
I turn the corner where the stairs are, I walk down them and into the living room where my parents are casually sitting down on the couch as if everything is okay. They know for a fact that I am pissed at them for the move and for not listening to me. And of course, they think it'll pass because I am a teenager and we tend on being very moody. That is not the case at all, I will continued to be pissed at them until they want to give me a choice in the shit that is decided in this house.
"Has any of those boys come up to you today?" She asks.
"All three of them and I haven't been acting suspicious even when they start talking to me from across the room." I explain "And I even act tried at practice to make them believe I am not what they are."
"Good, have you come across anymore?" Father asks.
"Just the boy that has the locker next to mine but he doesn't seem that interested in me."
"Remember always absent-minded to whatever comes out of their mouths."
"I know, you tell every single day."
"Okay, you may go."
Telling him about Derek would just give him more reason to take my free will away, he would just decide to home school me and I would hate to be around him for eight hours I don't have to be. You would think since I am hiding the fact that I'm werewolf was taught by me from my dad but I taught myself. It is so I can lie to him without him knowing, it is just for the best that certain things be kept from him.
"And Desai, if you just so happen to become friends with them we wouldn't frown on it." Mother says.
"Why is that?" I ask.
"They could help us know things that we need to find out." Father adds.
"Sure."
"And make sure you tell us if you find anything out, I mean it."
I nod, walking out of the room. Something is seriously wrong with the way they think, I cannot tell them but they want me to be friends with them. So fucking confusing.
