The Boy

When I first met you

The room was dark

Tears in my eyes

And scarlet on my cheeks

I wad weak and a wreck

You made me laugh

Even though I wanted to die

You made me smile

And stop the stream of tears

Everything cleared

And I saw you in light for the first time

I had no idea what to say

And shock went through my soul

Your eyes the color of every forest

The tree tops

And the forest ground

The ones of beauty

And of fear

Your hair a color,

The same as mine

A dirt of sorts

After rain

And the drying sun

Your height a bit shorter

But I didn't mind

It was perfect

Just like you

But what happened

That next week?

Your hair turned to the night

A moonless night

Your eyes turned to sea

With no hints of trees

It scared me

I was afraid you had changed

But you hadn't

You were exactly the same

Your looks don't matter

Because you'll always be perfect to me
