Sage

"You jump on three" Travis yelled from behind me. He sounded further away than before and that I'm thankful for that. I closed me eyes and wrapped my arms around myself.

"No no no no no no" I mumbled to myself. If I don't jump I'll be factionless and at this point I'm okay with that.

"One!" Travis shouted followed by the sound of stomping for steps

Something hits my back hard and suddenly wind rushes threw my cloths. I open my eyes to see Travis's arms wrapped around me...

And we're both two hundred feet in the air....

Before I can even scream both our bodies collide with the roof top, ripping holes in my cloths and knocking the air out of me. A loud crack sends pain shooting up my arm as gravel digs into my face and knees. I took most of the blow since I landed first.

For a moment I couldn't move. Fear and pain had me paralyzed. I shrug Travis off my back as I make an attempt to sit up. I looked to my left and find that the edge of the roof literally ended reaching distance away.

Travis stands up laughing as he dusts himself off "I think I just saved your life Sage" He says cocking his head to the side as his smirk spreads across his face. I glaire at him as I attempt to sit up. Pain shoots up my right arm again and I fall back against the roof top again with a small yelp.

He looks me up and down before laughing again "You can thank me later" and with that he turns and walks off.

I grit my teeth to keep from running my mouth. 'Wait til Michael finds out about this' I think as I finally pull myself together enough to sit .

"Sage!" Speaking of the devil, Michael spots me across the long roof and waves at me, smiling wide. It's not until he sees the blood pouring from my busted eyebrow that he realizes I'm hurt. His face falls as he picks up his pace and runs to my side.

"Oh my God Sage!" He lifts my chin and I cringe "Your bleeding, a lot actually".

I pull away from his grasp and fake a smile "I'm fine. Really it doesn't hurt that bad"

He grabs my right forearm to pull me up and I yelp as soon as he as he moved it. He stopped immediately.

"Sage you need to be completely honest with me" he says eyeing me, watching every expression on my face. "Are you hurt in any way, shape, or form that I can't see"

I nod and suddenly a look of worry crosses his face "Okay can you tell me what hurts? Do I need to get someone?"

I shake my head quickly. The embarrassment of having to run to the hospital within 5 minutes of entering the Dauntless compound is the last thing I need right now. "Do you remember when we were kids and we had to be extra careful with my elbow after my 'accident' because it would come out of place really easily?"

He nods and I continue "Well I think I landed wrong when I jumped and I think I may have pulled it out of place" I lie lifting my arm off my lap, cringing slightly as I did. I try my best to move it but the pain is almost over powering. Michael gives me a sorrowful look.

"I can put it back in for you. I was training to become a nurse remember" he reaches out for my arm but I flinch away. All of a sudden a dark skinned man yells for us to gather around him on the other side of the roof.
